    Props to this man talking out loud to a camera with his coworkers around him, and working one handed and filming for us🙏
    And wow they put the starter in a really bad spot, thankfully I have the 3.8 lol, there are some bright sides it sounds like
    How often do you see the starters going out on the 3.8, 3.3T, and 5.0?
    The engineers really shafted you on that one eh. What would this have costed outside of warranty? Parts and labor?

      The 3.8 i think i replaced twice, for the 3.3T i think i replaced 2 from g70 and 1 g90, then for the 5.0 nothing so far. Hahhaha

      @@Blue-moon12 in my opinion on genesis models its a bit challenging especially on how they design it so in my opinion labor wise its not gonna be cheap compare to a 4 cylinders hyundai. Hahahha

    Hi I have a 2019 Genesis G70 & it’s doing the same exact thing. Is it possible I need a new starter as well. It’s making a clicking noise. Battery is fine.

      As long connections are good, maybe you need starter

    Mine does the same thing but it does it randomly and will start after some attempts I took it to the shop a month ago and can’t figure it out 😬😬😬

      Maybe everytime it happens its on a dead spot and everytime you crank it it move a little and the starter starts working again.

    @Hyundai Tech
    Thanks for making these videos. What a crazy process to replace the starter on the G70 3.3T. Did you say you had to take the engine and transmission out to replace the starter?

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  2 года назад +1

      The first video i had yeah i took out the transmission and engine together just to see it clearly, but on this video i took out the subframe, just remove the right side mount. Yeah i know this vehicles sometimes has some challenges.

      @@Blue-moon12 3.3t and 3.5 t has different location of the starter, on the video i removed the right side mount to access it, for the 3.5t as per the service information its on the left side.. hahhaa thats weird that they change the location, thats gonna be a challenge to change i guess since thats the area where the sttering shaft. Hahhaha we will see when will be the first blood of those engines hahahhaa.

      @@hyundaitech Thank you for the reply. I image it still was a few hours of labor to remove the subframe and remove/install new starter. Is this an odd location or bad design compared to other vehicles you have seen (ie. more accessible in other vehicles)?

    So my 2022 g70 doesn't click. Everything else works like normal. Seen your other video about the relay. Didnt think to check that before I sent mine to get fixed

    Having to do all that just to access the battery. You wonder what the engineers and designers were thinking.

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  2 года назад +2

      Maybe its good design but they didnt factor that the components failing, coz we cant help it some of those components are gonne fail especially this newer models they have stop start system, and the constant engaging and disengaging of starter. Thats why on my tucson i always turn it off. Hahaha
