Actually before any fighting they would flash blood on their crest to intimidate each other first one to back down loses
This behavior needs to be fixed.When herding comes in when THIS situation happens it should only be the herd leader fighting these new comers NOT the entire herd going into chaos killing eachother(same goes with any herbivores and pack hunting carnivores in this game, especially raptors).Its stupid to see everybody fighting each other when really it should just be the herd leader fighting the new comer.Just destroys the entire purpose of being ''social'' when all it takes is them just being uncomfortable for them to attack what would be old friends.
Yes, but a LOT of dinosaurs need to have their behaviors fixed (especially carnivores)
I wish the developpers would've taken 1 or 2 more months to optimise the dinosaur's AI instead of rushing it to release it the same time as the crappy JW movie

Tbh the fights should be part of social interactions (for herbivores like the pachy) and when they become over populated they just break out or try to giving you time to tranq and sell one

Just the fact that they rushed the dinos AI to release the game in time...
It's not unusual for ceratopsians to fight each other, but only in a "herd" context. Buuuuuuuuuut, there is no herd system for the dinosaur's behavior yet in the game, so the reason this specie fight each other is just an abnormality of the AI.
PS: only dinosaurs rivalising for the herd leader position would fight each other, but NEVER would the entire herd starting to kill each other in a massive rush of bloodlust >

This is unrealistic. the pentaceratops shouldn't kill each other and also the way they fight is dumb instead of just waking their horns into each other they should actually have aI that makes them lock horns and jostle then after a certain time one should break off. Also they should add an in game time which shows what season it is and say in summer this behavior would appear.

They have rushed the dinosaurs AI when finishing the game. I think they didn't even take in consideration the fact that these ceratopsians would start killing each other

Herbivores have NO REASON to kill each other, so one of the 2 should just back of when too wounded. There is no reason to give them a kill animation, as they aren't supposed to kill each others
Erectar Denara I’m pretty positive ceratopsians would fight to the death in prehistoric times. Just because they are herbivores doesn’t mean they can’t kill their own kind. Look at some herbivores today Zebras during mating season fight to the death. The ankylosaurus and Stegosaurs have their own kill animation when they fight one another so why not the ceratopsians too? Just saying since it would add more depth to the game....but they already do that they back of and gradually die but it’s not satisfying.
Satisfying or not, an herbivore could probably die from his injury after a battle, like some of our own herbivores nowadays...But the same way, they wouldn't strike the finishing blow, as the other one would back off before this point.
Fights for domination aren't to the death of the opponent, but to the "retreat" of the opponent : the first to back of lose, that's how it goes.
