    A lovely Serbian woman made this type of cake for us today... it was the most delicious cake ever! Of course, she made it from memory, so I am beyond excited to find this recipe here to be able to try it myself one day... omg... scrumptious!

    I have made the recipe because it was the one with the healthiest ingredients. It is really delicious. I don't have the taste of rafaello. My cakes turns out a little flatter than yours. But it's worth to make. May make it again but yes it remains really caloric. I drank lemon water after a slice.😊

    Hey Tatyana, I'm a big fan of your RUclips channel! I'm wondering if can I reduce the amount of sugar in this cake recipe to half without wrecking the cake moisture and texture? I do realise that sugar does more than sweeten and yet I do prefer less sweet recipes. What would be the best substitutes?

    Okay listen up, i made this and i have a few things to say about this: it did not look like the thing she made at all. HOWEVER it was so delicious omfg u dont even know. They only thing i will be doing is add less sugar to the frosting, because it was e little too sweet fpr my liking. The cakne itself is delicous and the filling too. From now on i will top everything i will ever eat with roasted coconut.
    Im summary: make this, the look will disappoint but the taste will not.

    Hey tatyana!! Can I use coconut milk instead of coconut cream for both cake n frosting..hope it won't affect the consistency as cream is thicker..plz revert.also can we make it with whipped cream..

      Hi! You can use coconut milk for the cake but it won't work as well for the frosting. Are you using canned coconut milk? Try placing it into the refrigerator for about an hour and the cream will separate and solidify at the top. You can use a spoon to scoop it out and use it for the frosting :)

    Hi Tatyana. This cake looks absolutely AMAZING and I can't wait to try making it this weekend. Quick question- are using "American cup" measurements? I'm trying to figure out how many grams/millilitres that is and I also heard "UK cup" is different to American... Any words of wisdom on this one? :-)

      +Natalia S Hi! :) Yes, I use American cups for all of my recipe! If you want to convert to grams, I would recommend using Google for each ingredient. Example: search "1 cup flour to grams" :)

      Hi! You can definitely use regular flour. You'll need the same amount, 1 cup; so that will be 2 cups total all-purpose flour :)

    Hi Tatyana,
    I wanted to request for a little more clarity when baking this cake because mine didn't turn out that good or moist. I noticed that you don't state how long it takes for the cake to bake and because I didn't want to keep opening the oven I had to take a guess on how long to leave it in there for. Also, when you were sharing how to mix the ingredients you weren't very clear about how long we're supposed to mix it for. I began sifting the dry ingredients into the wet ones just how you did but the dry ingredients kept clumping so I felt like I ended up "over mixing" it because otherwise my cake batter would've been clumps of flour everywhere, could I just use an actual mixer instead of folding everything in, or will that cause the cake not to be moist? Thank you I'm sorry for such a long message I just want to get it as perfect as yours is.

      For this particular cake, you want to very gently fold in the ingredients. Maybe next time, try sifting a very small amount every time you add the dry ingredients so they don't clump. The layers take about 20 to 22 minutes in the oven, just until the top is golden :)

      Yes, you can use coconut with the all-purpose flour. You do need some all-purpose flour for the cake to come together

      Hi! Yes, you can even use coconut flour in place of the almond flour. I would recommend sticking with the same amount.

    Can I substitute butter with something else in this recipe? As I tried this cake.. it came out soft moist and delicious.. but when I refrigerated it , it became dry... And I had to microwave each peice before eating...I think it was because of butter... And would this cake work if I want to make a 2 teir cake?

      You can use oil for this recipe, too. I always recommend letting the cake sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes after refrigerating, that will let the layers soften again :)

      +TatyanasEverydayFood i did it around 3 times and it's amazing... one question..how do you manage to get the cakes always flat?! i use those pans as well so i dont need to cut the cake in half however i always seem to get a dome when it rises :(

      +Marie Mifsud That's a great question! To get a flat top cake, just avoid overmixing the flour. Once you start adding flour, mix just until combined so the gluten doesn't get overdeveloped. Works every time! :)

      Hmm, maybe coconut flakes? If you can get larger pieces of coconut then shred them in a food processor or blender into finer pieces, that will also work :)

      Hi! I currently don't have any eggless cake recipes but you can replace the eggs with egg replacement product. They typically sell it next to regular eggs at the supermarket

    I use 2 luv eatn those Raffaello coconut balls til i found out they wer genetically modified. Wish i can find sum vegan 1s cuz boi wuz those thngs gud
