It is fantastic content Mark. Recently I attended an webinar wherein they had very expensive setup for breeding Clown fishes and lot of Ph.Ds to monitor and manage the overall process and I was dejected at the overall complicated process and I quit. Your video is definitely encouraging and I will for sure attempt following your process. Thanks very much

I found your vid because my Darwin pair is cleaning off a spot under their BTA and was curious, looking for info on the process. Unfortunately I don’t have the resources with time being the main one to grow them out to adults.

Please do an update video would love to follow from egg to fry to fish really want to give this a go my self I have a pair of young black storms around 7months and a large frostbite with black fins with a young flurry which both have a lot of blue in so would love to breed an see what the babies would come out like keep up the good work really enjoyed the first two so far looking forward to the next 👍🏻

Great news on the hatching of your baby clowns. Would love to see a video on how you made your tanks, sizing, overflows and pump setup. Would be real handy should I start breeding my clowns myself as I want to get set up right and follow what you’ve done.

OK i watch your uploads and always think : OK that's not so hard... i'm breeding danio, barbs, apistogramma, corydoras, pterophyllum, ancistrus,...but now i'm like : damn this is an extra level !
You would think because they spend so much time looking after the eggs that they wouldn't eat there fry . some fish are quite stupid lol u make great breeding videos theres know one iv seen on youtube that explains and shows you how to breed fish as good as you. thanks mark

Hello Mark, I really want to start a saltwater aquarium but I'm really put off by the use of RO/DI water. I have setup planted freshwater tanks with no algae problems and in general just healthy tanks with water straight from the tap treated with Prime so do I really have to use rodi water if I wanted to setup a reef tank with corals that require minimal care?
Mark, question for you. Is there a reason you use a tile rather than a terra cotta pot? And what sort of tile is it?

Hi Mark, How are you conditioning the fish to spawn? Live food etc.
How many times you a day you feeding them to condition them up?
Also can you list stuff you be feeding them on a normal day for example pellets in the morning frozen food in the afternoon and then something live in the evening?
So you need a light for both the phytoplankton and the rotifers?
Are the lights on 24/7 ?
is there any maintenance required for the plankton reactor

After the fry reach maturity, how many can you keep in say a 20 gallon tank?
Can two clownfish from the same batch mate?
After the fry reach maturity can they go back into the same as the parents? (assuming a bigger tank say 40 gallons)

@@MARKSAQUATICS I understand the ingredient side of it. Its more the keeping it in a "gum" form without it going bad. I think they are using some form of preservative like Potassium Sorbate. What do you think?

No you use any type of filtration as long as its cycled.

You can use slate, live rock, pieces of acrylic. Natural slate.

Hi mark I didn’t think you could use air stones in marine tank or so I read 👀.
Its only in to agitate the eggs for a day or so.

Sadly I lost the first batch due to a filter malfunction. They've bred again, and they are due to hatch tomorrow night.

Hi Mark, is it ok that the air bubbles actually touch the eggs, or should the air bubbles go in front of them and just to move the water in front of the eggs?
I tried both methods and it doesn't seem to make any difference. 😀👍

do a shot every time Mark says rotifers
You should do a line breeding series for your own strain of guppy or platy etc that could be quite a quick series to do
