Stijn is such a rule follower and won't miss a beat regarding these "rules" that are posted on each countries websites. But twice now we've done the required tests for traveling by land and not once has anyone stopped us. We so enjoyed our wine tasting and we're looking forward to doing some more in the very near future! A great video! It's so interesting to learn about the different tunnel options you can choose to drive yourself and the cost, as we'd probably be travelling by bus 😁😀
We probably went through a dozen tunnels on one motorway from Grenoble to somewhere in Italy! Apparently the really long (about 20 miles) most traveled one is near Mont Blanc but can have really long waits because of the increased traffic up there. And that was our original route until I looked at a map! 🤣🤣 So happy you enjoyed the video💞🇮🇹 ~ Debbie

Yes, it's getting a bit annoying to get tests to just drive through France (we've done this twice now) and nobody stops you😕 And we could only spend 1 night in France because of the 48hr rule for Italy, and then nobody checked us there! All the European countries are so beautiful with so much history, culture and religion and faith brakes all the walls that were trying for us to move forward and that’s exactly what we as Europeans we did, but anyway guys have fun and enjoy the ride cheers 🥂 from the Azores Portugal.

@@claudiacables1764 Wonderful! You will love Italy and pretty much any region you decide to visit. We started traveling through Northern Italy last July with the time line of 7 months. But in August when we made it to the region of Umbria, we fell in love and decided to stop traveling and stay here. So we bought a house in October and are loving living here. So I highly recommend visiting the region of Umbria which is bordered by Tuscany and is also very centrally located with Rome 2 hours to the south (by car and from where we live) Florence 2 hours to the north and either coastline 2 hours away. All very accessible by train as well. We do have lots of photos of our travels as well on Instagram if you have an account and would like to check some of those out. Happy travels!

We did do a video explaining why and how we decided to sell everything in 2020 during CV19 and head to Europe to slow travel full time. Its pinned at the top of our channel if you'd like to watch it. The first white was amazing and we bought 2 of them! The 2nd red and the last dessert wine were delicious and we bought 1 of each🥂🇮🇹
