Please correct your misleading statement. The cost is not in dollars. It is in Kina. It is not $150 dollars, it's K150 and it's equivalent to only $30 to $40 for accommodation. Which is cheap.

My friend, I'm not sure if this is all part of the act or not. You should have done your research and understood the PNG currency. The boat to Aitape is PGK200 or PGK150, which is around $50 USD (not $200 USD), and the same goes for the hotel or guest house for the night. This is cheap compared to big cities like Port Moresby or Lae. If you're using USD, then it shouldn't be a problem for you, as the USD is stronger than the PNG Kina. Everyone is friendly here in PNG. However, generally, it seems like you need more views, likes, and money from RUclips based on the look of your title. You should consider changing your title and thumbnail. We have good tourists and bad tourists, and you don't want to be categorized as the latter.

Corrections here. It's not dollars but PNG kina. Not 150 dollars but 150 kina which is equivalent to $40 . The cheapest room of 50 dollars is equivalent to $15.
Food of K15 is not the same as $15 . But it's $3.
200 kina boat ride is not the same as $200 as he is speaking. It's $50 .

We had different fisherman tourism around the world who came to PNG to fish and we tour them to different villages and places they see our cultures the food we eat and they love to comeback to PNG..and even every year we get tourists from,russia,Australia,japan,bulgarian dubai even some of thier firstime to visit PNG and they love to comaback..they are business man and woman they travel to explore different places. They eat PNG food and they said we PNG are very lucky to have fresh seafood from the sea and organic food,vegetables..and this guy comenting is not very true..

The language you heard in this video is Tok Pidgin also called 'Tok Pisin' which is one of our 3 official languages, but apart from the 3 official languages we have more than 800 languages. We love to welcome tourist just like any country would do. So if you have watched this video and thinking to cancel your trip down to Papua New Guinea then safe trip to wherever you are heading to. On the other note, tourist come here every year and visit some of our most beautiful sites every year.

West Papua is more safer than PNG. Lots of tourists are going to Raja Ampat islands in Sorong Regency of West Papua which has become a favourite destination for many European tourist.

All I can say is that you should have done proper research about where your arriving from point A to point B. You traveled to a developing country, so obviously it would mean that you should come with a backup plan or extra cash in case the prices were not what you were expecting. The current state of this country is in an economic crisis where hotels/motels and food can be expensive but it's just what us Papua New Guineans live through. But that’s just my opinion as a fellow Papua New Guinean .

Dont travel if you don't have money, we don't want to hear your complaints. Certain towns in PNG are more expensive to live in than others, because of their own local economy. Some towns are mining towns and others are tourist hotspots so the living expenses will differ. Be more informed and prepare in advance before traveling next time.

Another thing, visiting Vanimo which is the capital town and not city of West Sepik Province in the Momase region of Papua New Guinea is definitely a very very small experience of PNG.
