I’ve read a few of the comments here, and I’m disagreeing with a few of them because these men are talking about the emotional needs of women.
They did say that they don’t have a woman there for her perspective. But I am a woman and their spot on.
I think we as women can get to tunnel vision, and not look at the entire picture, because we are not looking at it somewhat logically as well.
Emotion is not the entirety of our marriage.
God can do all things! Nothing is impossible for Jesus!
We can go to the Lord and he knows how to guide, help and show us in our marriages with our husbands. And how to pray…
Let’s be encouraged by this message!
Thank you Focus on the Family.

I trust in God even as I struggle to take care of my children and myself. As a single mother things are so hard on me. Both of my sons are autistic I’m overwhelmed. God please hear my prayers. I’m constantly struggling to buy groceries and constantly struggling to pay rent I’m ashamed and overwhelmed. But I choose to have faith over fear as christians that’s all we can do. No matter your struggle, you can turn to God. He knows us personally and can give us strength to overcome our challenges. Heavenly and merciful Father, I come before your glorious throne today, in humble adoration please help me overcome my struggles and my constant fear of homelessness. You have provided this far and I’m so grateful for your love and mercy. I will continue to walk with faith! And not by sight!

I’m in the same boat, with two children with a syndrome and genetic disease. It feels surreal to live in world when all in your life is going wrong. All I Know is that The Lord cares. Sometimes the only one who cares, and I’m glad that at least you and I can see and know that. Im always telling myself this is not our world, John the Baptist suffered, Jesus suffered. Somehow, that comforts me. Sending you so much love 🤍

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. Meaning: When you marry, you become one. Let none come between you

It would have been nice to see a married woman on the panel to share her perspective of the 3 kinds of love necessary in a marriage.

I know y’all are really trying here, but I honestly cried during this podcast. 20 years in, & I certainly wish connection was attainable. The emotional & spiritual weight I carry for the kids & I is greatly affecting my health. My husband is in his own world, & we are a checklist.

We're sorry to hear about your marital struggles, friend. We’ll be praying, asking our Heavenly Father to comfort you and your husband daily with evidences of His great love and compassion (Lamentations 3:22-23). May He draw you closer to each other and to Himself, and may He provide strength and guidance as you look to Him. We’ll keep your kids in our prayers, as well. Also, we invite you to talk about your situation with one of our counselors (at no cost to you). Please call 855-771-HELP (4357) weekdays between 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. (MT) -- we’d be happy to come alongside you in any way we can.

Great video, there is nothing like a perfect marriage or relationship, I learnt that in everything there is always a solution, 5 years ago I and my wife divorced because we were having some difficulties in our marriage but we are back together, it was a really bad phase but we got through it.

@josephregland its always difficult to let someone you love go, but in my case I had the help of a spiritual adviser who saved my marriage from collapsing her name is SHELLY RENEE WHITE.

I’ve been married 43 years and my husband does not understand my need for emotional connection. It grieved me that there were no wives in this session. And the men laughing at something so important in a marriage for the wife.

I was wondering if you are a member of a church. If you could discuss this with one of the pastor wives to ask for help and prayer.

@@helenpaul4886 that’s so sad. You’re basing your evaluation on somebody you don’t even know. I encourage you to pray and ask the Lord to give you wisdom in guidance. Not only does he use the Bible, books, but programs such as this. There may have been a nugget there for you. Don’t get stuck in men and women, because God sees us all. We are the ones that put us into categories.

Hello Cindy. As you probably already know. God is extremely faithful! He knows all things, he understands all things, and he knows everything about us.
God is an emotional being because he created emotions.
And tell your husband is able to relate to the Lord in this area he’s going to struggle with relating to you in this area.
I encourage you to start praying for him, and speaking the word of God over him. God will do the work. Your job is to trust, believe, and have faith!

Loved your talk today!! Exactly what my counselor/pastor recently discussed with my husband and I during our past sessions. Women need emotional connection ( currency for men) and how men think aka file emotions away. Good Stuff 🙏❤️

Ah - yes - the framework informed by the Greek loves. [Agape and phileo are the ones I think of the most].
Three others are STORGE; NOMOS or PRAGMA and LUDOS.
[Nomos is very specifically a dutiful sort of love; and ludos is very playful.
Storge I have heard and read as a sort of 'cupboard' love - the love our animals feel for and with us - and it is one of the loves which transcends species].
