Fescue should be around 20-22mm which is the optimum length for any stripes on almost all grasses. With creeping benmt and brown bent the grass is cut so short that it barely stripes at all.

Have a question...how does he behave when turning? Does he no longer claim the lawn because he grazes the role when turning to the right than with the wheels?

The mower only cuts to 20mm. That's already high already. Typical striped lawns are cut much lower. Really we need the mower to cut down to about 6mm, 12 at least. If you want long grass a cylinder mower is far from ideal. they are best at cutting short grass. Even my best cyclinders cannot handle long grass.

Its not gonna be heavy enough to leave a lasting stripe but it its the best wheel mark possible. All wheels leave marks and a single wheel the same width as the mower is going to leave the nicest ones of all.

If you could make this work on taller heights of cuts, that would be much better.
