- There are lots of wrestlers in the wide roster of AEW aka All Elite Wrestling. And with this means not everyone can be pushed but I have some personal favourite wrestlers in AEW who I believe are being wasted in AEW and deserve better! A few weeks ago I discussed WWE wrestlers who I would personally like to see receive more of a push. And that video obviously caused some divisiveness as my picks are personal to me and people were asking where is the AEW version. Well, here it is. Today I’m discussing 3 wrestlers in AEW who I am personally a fan of and think could be being used better by AEW. As always these kinds of videos always cause divided opinions, so sound off in the comments who you think in AEW deserves better, and let’s begin this.

Konosuke Takeshita has been one of my personal favorites for a while. His in ring work has been great but I just want him to be in a good storyline and not just hanging around with the other guys in Don Callis Family doing nothing
Angélico is criminally underutilized. His run in Lucha Underground was phenomenal.
His dropkick from the top of the office to the ladder dropped my jaw! Loved his moveset too with that handstand head kick combo was sick!
Crazy that Takeshita was treated better in a month with NJPW than nearly 4 years with AEW.
I mean he not gonna be a star in American anyway

Kind of his fault like most Japan guys he didn't wana learn the American Style which is what gets over with American Audience so in a way I don't blame Sno man Khan but instead of wasting money and everyone's time he should release all these guys refusing to listen and learn n focus on the hidden and in some rare cases obvious talent.

Honorable Mentions:
Lance Archer & Wardlow - Big men who squash jobbers in mere seconds. Whenever they have a big match, they always get buried.
Will Hobbs - Stagnate from Point A to Point B. Don Callis should only have him instead of a whole faction.
Wardlow after beating Mjf... How do you screw this one ? The guy should be a star by now
@@vincentmeyer518 Exactly this. Wardlow was quite possibly the most over wrestler on the roster during his feud with MJF. What does Tony Khan do to take advantage of this homegrown talent who got over organically? Stick him in the midcard trading the TNT talent every couple weeks in feuds that went nowhere and then inexplicably take him off TV for a year. Then when they do put him back on TV, it’s just as a stooge for the Undisputed Kingdom, a stable that also went nowhere. And he’s currently been forgotten again by TK.
Powerhouse Hobbs is another talent being wasted
Tony likes 9 dudes and 2 ladies but is employing 165 wrestlers

It's insane how many women wrestlers they signed where they debut them in a big way and immediately put them in a title picture and then soon after, they get demoted down Roh, Rampage, and Collision, names like Deonna Purrazzo, Taya Valkyrie, Saraya, Athena, and Lady Frost

Sometimes you know once you do something you get back down you’re trying to work your way up to the girl of the star was before it will take time they won’t fit in. They just need to figure out how to get them all together.
Takeshita is in a slow-burn storyline with Okada. Dude looks dominant in matches even when he loses. Think of how Damien Priest was doing nothing and was pushed. If he beats Okada he can have a similar storyline. Hope AEW don't bottle it
Didn't Takeshita beat Kenny Omega back then? That was a huge win and they did absolutely nothing with the momentum he shoulda had beating Omega.

Lady Frost is made for TV. Her presentation, in ring work, and she can talk. Need her on a more regular basis on my screen.

Everything about Anjellico is ultra cool. His theme music, dance moves and technical wrestling. He is so smooth and fluent in the ring, he should be a regular mid/carder at the very least, but he's barely even that. The guy is a high level talent, that is sadly overlooked.

I think he needs to get the f out of there they gave him a program with Kenny and they did fuck all with him after he should go to NJPW where they would treat him with the respect that he deserves he can still have the match but at forbidden door
I absolutely agree with Angelico, he seems happy but I'd like to see more. Also, Lady Frost wants that #AllElite graphic more than anything and she's worked hard for it AND deserves it. She should be signed and that's the hill I'll absolutely die on.

Everyone here qualifies, and I'd add Jay White, Wardlow, Miro, Lance Archer, Hobbs (let's face it, AEW doesn't know what to do with big guys except make them someone's backup muscle), and at least 10 others that I can't name off the top of my head. I really feel like losing the YT shows limits who gets on TV, and as someone who doesn't like a lot of the "top guys" at AEW (especially the cowboy & the dentist, the fondness for them is baffling to me), it's made me less interested in the company on the whole. It's kinda sad when you look at indie groups and see them treating ex-AEW people better.

I totally agree about Lance. He is astonishingly good and completely underutilised.
Wardlow should definitely be on this list. He was probably more over than anyone on the roster during his feud with MJF. Tony Khan managing to completely fumble a homegrown talent that over is criminal. He put him in the midcard after that feud, then took him off TV for like a year for some reason, then made him a stooge for a stable that went nowhere, and then took him off TV again. Great job, “booker of the year”.

Some people have an allergic reaction to comedy wrestling. Personally I love it. Anybody can have a Dave Meltzer 70 star match. Being funny is hard. Doing what R Truth does is harder than a moonsault. IMO Danhausen is the person who AEW wasted. He is funny and doesn't need to win to get over.
Sadly, given how the online AEW fans have been trying to frame him for crimes and act like his friendships make him a terrorist and how much Tony caters to that audience, I don't think he's gonna be seen on AEW TV for a while, if ever. He seems to be doing well with indie groups like GCW, at least.
I'm not the biggest fan of comedy wrestling but it does have a place wrestling and Danhausen was the one I felt could've been a great comedy guy at AEW.
Tony Khan books like he's playing a video game, not an actual owner that employs real life people with real lives and families to provide for

Question do wrestler get paid on contract per appearance or the contract for the time length. Wrestler usually get paid no matter what. He also let's them take indie bookings when they're not on his.clock so exactly how are.they not getting compensated?
He had no prior booking experience. Gotta give him time to figure it out.
@@raykahn455 Depends on the wrestler some are paid per appearance (mostly guys/girls that are there for a one of appearance or maybe a handful if needed) but if your signed to a promotion you'll 9/10 be on a monthly salary (its not unheard of that they'll be paid per appearance but its rare when signed to a promotion).
@@FFA441 he has booking his own promotion for five years. And since then there’s been no improvement either he does show improvement or give someone else the pen.

I love Takeshita He’s such a great wrestler. I recognize him when I first watched DPW he’s such a unbelievable talent and fun fact about him. He’s only 29 years old he hasn’t even age a bit and he hasn’t even gone out of his prime yet I can totally see him becoming AEW world champion somehow higher around in 2025 or 2026
Anģelico's match in Lucha Underground were a blast to watch, Underrated talent.
100% agree about Takeshita. 'Don't have anything against the other 2 mentioned, but I don't exactly feel like they're "TV ready" star potential.
There's a long list of wasted talent in AEW, but one of mine is Big Bill. I don't care that he's currently getting TV time with Jericho's nonsense. The crowds often seem to _desperately_ want to cheer for that guy, and he's got a lot of untapped potential.
Sucks whats happening to Angelico. The way he was booked in Lucha Underground was magical! Lady Frost neeeeeeds to be back in TNA. Konosuke needs to be international champion SOON! Btw, where the heck is Powerhouse Hobbs?!?!?!? 🤨🤨🤨
I agree with everything you said about Takeshita. He definitely has a different aura than most of the roster.

Frost is TOTALLY underused...there's SO much talent there just waiting to be highlighted!!
The Hybrid Two should be in ROH I would love to see these two become ROH World Tag Team Champions and maybe help build that roster maybe with ROH being more represented on Collision.
Lady Frost should have been brought in to be associated with Athena as her right hand especially to help her get over as ROH World Champion.
Konosuke Takeshita should have become ROH TV Champion maybe even dethroning Samoa Joe and ending his long reign with Takeshita becoming the new ROH Television Champion.
Someday we will get Swerve vs. Keith Lee! (probably not)
Wardlow belongs in the number 1 slot in literally every one of these lists.
Angelico he is such an a phenomenal wrestler. You should give him every single championship in wrestling and I hope they do something with him and AEW as well same with lady Frost.

Honestly I'd include Lance Archer too, the man is one of the best big men in the bizz, crazy to think he's been wasted everywhere from TNA to WWE to AEW, he found huge success in NJPW but once he transitioned into a singles wrestler they constantly screwed him over

I'm also a big fan of Lady Frost and seen her in person a couple of times. She's great in the ring. Her grandfather was a wrestler too - Tony Marino.
Takeshita is not being wasted. He was just in the G-1 and if you ask me, he's being set up to defeat Okada for that Continental Championship. He was also put over Omega twice before Omega got messed up and that program got halted. To the Mooon!
Anjelico and Orange Cassidy paired as a tag team would be awesome since they both have such s laid back out of the ring personalities but can go hard in the ring. They could be called The Dudes.
I would like to add where the heck is Kip Sabian? Make him a face a push him hard. He can work the crowd and has quality ringwork.

I agree with Takeshita. I do believe they value him as well with how they position a potential feud with Okada. That stare down was one of the bigger moments in a star studded match. He is consistently booked as a threat for any title, and can be thrown into the ring with anyone and produce good work

The thing with Angelico is he's the "great worker" in the ring role. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm not expecting a push in AEW. Maybe a thank you title run in ROH later on

I have no earthly clue what it was,they weren't together long enough,but there was definitely something there. Like with Dolph Ziggler and Lana.
With Takeshita, it does look like they're teasing a feud between him and Okada. I think they might be moving in the right direction with him. The others I agree with and there's so many not being used properly that you could do a few more videos on the topic
The strenghts and weaknesses in wrestling is that the strength is that there are so many good talent wrestlers out there and the weaknesses is not everyone especially in both AEW and WWE are going to be put over and neither company can hire every avaliable talent
Angélico being reduced to a jobber in AEW bothers me too. His submission wrestling is awesome and if Tony Khan pushed him more, he could easily have a show stealer at Forbidden Door with Zack Sabre Jr.
Lady Frost is great and Konosuke Takeshita probably had some of the best matches in the G1 Climax. If AEW isn't going to put a title around his waist or at least give him a good storyline soon, I anticipate they're going to lose him in a span of two years and that would be a big shame.
Good video. I think that Konosuke Takeshita has been pushed to the side since the arrival of Kazuchika Okada. I do think there is a lot more upside with Takeshita in the long run. Lady Frost is fine wrestler and wasted in ROH. Never cared much for Angelico.
I agree with all of these, I also miss Cima and Jack Evans. Liked them both a good deal. They hired to many big ex wwe guys that I don't like much, so they need to put them on TV to get their moneys worth.
While I have nothing against the other two, I don't particularly care about either, but Takeshita should be at the top of the roster by now. The dude is crazy talented and puts on some amazing matches. He should be so much bigger than he is

The Golden Jets were originally going to defeat Sting & Darby for the tag titles & drop them to Takeshita & Hobbs after the Young Bucks cost Omega & Jericho the titles but since Kenny got diverticulitis the plans were cancelled
Takeshita, Miro, Eddie Kingston, Anthony Ogogo, Brian Cage, Buddy Mathews, Kota Ibushi, Daddy Magic, Powerhouse Hobbs, Rush, The Butcher, Athena, Serena Deeb, Ruby Soho.
Private Party, Ricky Starks, Lance Archer, Riho, Evil Uno, Emi Sakura and Kip Sabian for me.
Pac probably deserves the title and anything less than that is underutilising him, quite frankly.

TK doesn't consistently push anyone besides Jericho, OC, Bucks, MJF and Moxley.
Everyone else just has to fight over who gets to be the supporting cast. It was a small miracle Swerve escaped Rampage purgatory.

Out of all these guys Takeshita is most likely about to be pushed as they're teasing a Okada Takeshita match.
The bloated roster is just a hindrance to AEW
I've followed Lady Frost's career in the indies and she's the total package. Amazing physique, great worker, cool (no pun intended) supervillainess gimmick, great presence, and gorgeous. To see her underutilized in AEW is heartbreaking.

Angelico could leave tomorrow and I don't think anyone would miss him. He's done nothing in AEW worth writing about. Lady Frost isn't that interesting to the point I can't even remember anything she does and I dunno besides Takeshita being with Don Callis and that whole garbage I feel like Takeshita doesn't belong in the same lane as Frost and Angelico as Takeshita is currently a guy you can throw into a PPV match and get a banger and I think him not being used only started happening after that Willl Ospreay match. And it's probably the same thing with The Lucha Bro's "Oh They aren't being used on tv right so they're gonna leave!" Or! He just has lots of bookings outside the company and can't be in a months long fued. The dudes an international star and goes between Japan and the US. AEW isn't WWE were it's guaranteed that they are just sitting in catering waiting for a idea because they can't do anything else. No, in AEW you are allowed to work wherever you want so ALOT of people take bookings in other countries so if you were the booker would you force a guy that's working his ass off into an intense feud? No you wouldn't because you dont want to overwork your guys.
I dont think Tonys the end all be all to wrestling booking but He obviously doesn't just use people for the sake of using them and he obviously doesn't force anyone to do a storyline. So I'm sure if Takeshita went to Tony and said I want a PPV match with Will Ospreay for the title at the next PPV TK probably would do something and it probably would happen. Maybe Takeshita wouldn't win but he would be used in a high profile feud. The one thing we seem to forget here is that Wrestlers might be freak athletes but they are human. I'm sure alot of these guys that "Aren't getting used" or get used more sparingly are totally fine with being employed to a major promotion, getting whatever tv they can get and they can still work their ass off other places. I would. Shit I'll be a manager that gets 5 minutes once a month and gets his ass kicked everytime. Some people don't want the pressure of being this top dog and rather push the entire industry or company forward as a team and you need those people just as much as you need the guys and girls wanting to be world champion and faces of the company. If this was WWE there'd be little reason for a star not to be used in AEW there is a fucking laundry list of genuine reasons as to why Your favourite wrestler isn't getting used. I would love Keith Lee to come back and be the monster he's meant to be but the dude has something wrong with him medically and it's pretty selfish of me to do anything except wish him well and hope he comes back instead of "Oh he's not being used by TK as a choice so he's being wasted" No. A waste is naming him Bearcat and having him be nothing as he was in NXT, then firing him. That's a waste of his talent.

You're wrong, the AEW roster isn't "stacked" - it's bloated. That's not the same thing.
It's bloated beyond any logical explanation and reason. Over two dozen of their performers are currently out with injuries. More are on the outs with creative/management and are just sitting out contracts. And they still have an entire army of people who just never get a chance to do anything on the shows. If their lucky, they get a one-minute squash match on the B or C show, every three to six months.
The only way the size of their roster would even begin to make any sense, was if they ran house shows every night of the week, in addition to the TV tapings and PPVs. AEW doesn't have a house show business, the attempt at starting one in 2023 was a complete failure. They're not ever going to have one, the way attendances are shrinking further and further. They draw less than 3k for most TV tapings.
Nothing about the way AEW is being run makes any sense. Yeah, I know... what a _revelation,_ what a _newsflash._

AEW has the talent needed but all they want is to make special announcements and have shock moments in every match or segment. Plus they really don’t rotate moment and give others time to shine.
Takeshitas two wins against omega earlier was wasted too
AEW is more and more like WCW everyday. Especially when the Bucks come out, knowing who they are , and how they're involved.

I caught Lady Frost on a DPW show last year and was blown away. One of the most graceful and fluid performers I've ever seen. Im not sure what her promo skills are like, but shes definitely someone that the "workrate" people will love regardless. They definitely should be using ber more.
Man i hope we dont see ricochet on this list one day... But if history truly repeats itself, we will. Miro, Johnny TV (John Morrison), keith lee, etc. These ex-wwe guys who came in did a few angles and disappeared. I enjoy both AEW and WWE but WWE is destroying AEW as of late.
