While they mostly fly for our Royal Navy, the NH90's actually are part of the Dutch Royal Airforce now in the Defense Helicopter Command, due to defense cutbacks several years ago. I was privileged to visit them recently, awesome versatile helicopters. Pretty big too! Looking forward to seeing them again next weekend in Den Helder, at the Navy open house days. @@carlhedemann4603 couldnt...that was literally years ago and for a week after an engine issue that was then sorted. The 90s routinely fly around the Pacific and do mountain flying annually on ex blackbird but hey, everyone loves a good exaggeration right?

But its worth mansion it THAT the DUTCH have nice plains and choppers. Esp the AH64 ,NH90,CHINOOK.COUGAR. and ofcourse F35. The only thing we miss is a place like THE MACH LOOP. Does it mean a lot of walking to be able to see them, Hubby and I both have mobility. ?? 3. where can i find still photos that you have taken please. I just love the videos and photos of them all. I'm in tears. People talking about the troublesome NH90 (My favourite helicopter) what seems to be the problem ? I've heard that it can only land on a completly flat runway. To much maintenance, and to expensive to operate 🤷♂️ but is it true, or is there even greater problems ?

@@DafyddPhillips Cool man . I just meant for next time kinda like an action shot for helo's . Those are some pricey$ birds wooff you cant spend much more on a helo platform then those . I guess an Osprey is the only more expensive vertical platform or Marine F35 if you want to include that .

In fact the maintenance is high (but the on the Merlin also) on this beautiful helo, but sorry, there's no broken down NH90.....
Not broken down, certain countries just don't know how to maintain them efficiently
