I do have the bank account, and I do have the experience (55 years old, life long rider). I don't want what the others offer. Most of these bikes are a perversion of what a normal, real-life adv bike needs to be. I have the Hunter 350 and GT650, and I was excited about this bike but will pass on it. MT450 next.
@RJ23545 Yep, well, it is CFmoto, not Amazon special. They build half big names shit anyways. That 450 motor has been out for 3 years or so. I bought their little 125 Papio, as good quality as the big names with some very nice touches ($2300 in sunny Indonesia). Finally, I have 2 Royals, they are not without issues. So yep going with the China man machine.......again.
I'm going with the Himalayan, but the 450mt was interesting, as before they released the Himalayan I was looking for a low k F800gs, twin is a big plus. I'm still of two minds, but I have my deposit down.
@ShadowVonChadwick The 452 is most likely a great bike, and I was very interested. Brand new engine? The ride by wire throttle is the opposite of my simple/reliable (emotional here, most likely) bike feature. Personal again, but the 452 is not a looker for me. I have fixed Rally 300 (suspension, choked up engine, racks....) for the more dirt oriented riding. The features you get from the factory on the MT450 are phenomenal. It looks like real hand guards, 1st oil change, soft bags, and the bike is good to go. Wish I was on it last week, nail in the tube/tire......Tired of that routine. Safe riding.
CFMOTO 450 MT is right at the next corner againts the wall legs crossed .. !! Hehehehe it would be very nice to see these 2 bikes side by side struggling to show wich bike is simply the Best one in the segment ! 😊😊😊😅😂
Great little bike but compare it to a dr650 which weighs less has more power and torque and suspension travel with full adjustability. Good to have choices under 10g and 6 speed that the drz400 and dr650 where missing. Sorry don't agree in calling it a light weight adv bike at that weight crf300 rally is way lighter and so Ajp pr7.
You are comparing it with a different category. This is a touring cum offroading bike which falls into BMW GSAs and Triumph Tigers category. DRs/CRFs are complete motocross motorcycles, they will weigh less.
NX500 is more road focused. Alloy wheels, 19 inch in the front unlike 21 inch of the himmy. Much lower ground clearance, much lower suspension travel. Very refined twin. NX500 will be a much better road focused tourer than himalayan, however himalayan would be a much better offroader. So not a fair comparison in my view.
This bike needs a lowering kit thousands are missing out just because the can’t reach the ground especially in Asia ,Honda did it with the 300 they brought out a lower model the LS same engine ,May be one day it will happen

Accept for the uphill rockly climb, rest of the track could have been done on any standard motorcycle - like Suzuki Bandit. That's not hard offroad - you have not included mud nor sand.
