back in a days, on tr909 the trick was to shorten decay to max and gradually extend it - that give the 'groove' feel, also changing tune a bit and turning snap (909) could produce interesting sounds, but you need to use both of your hands to tweak it:)
Not the biggest fan of snarerolls. I like the nice fills more but of course they have their place in certain tracks. Love the beat you got going there wow
Just to add it is a bit counterintuitive that you count 5 semitones up from the root but 4 notes including root as 1. Perfect fifth you count up 7 semitones but is 5th note in scale counting root as 1 cheers mate
I know you release a lot on Bondage Music. Could you make a tutorial about how to make that type of sound? Or show how you’ve done other projects you released with them? Especially Follow The Muse would be interesting. Whenever I walk through Berlin listening to this song I feel like I can “understand” the vibe of the city better 😊 Would really love to learn that type of sound!
If you want softer attack use snare inside a smaller and increase the attack of the ADSR. If you want harder attack use a compressor to pull down the sustain and add make up gain to emphasize the transient

Great video, really useful, interesting that no Velocity changes were made on the Snare hits.
Great methodical approach. 80% of productions out there don't even reach the level of your tutorial tracks. 😊👍
This is exactly what i needed. That rhythmic clap works great, im going to see what it sounds like with added delay.
Super tutorial/demo, thanks.
You are welcome!
I sometimes like to duplicate the snare and automate an autofilter to open up as the track reaches the Chorus. Thanks for the tips Dilby!
Thanks Dilby, great stuff
love this tutorial. thank you
It’s all about these details! Nice one as always
Great tutorial, what's the name of this track?
thank you for sharing this tips
My pleasure 😊

Hey Dilby you are mixing up your IV with V. In Em A is IV E (1) F# (2) G (3) A (4). Thanks for the greate tutorials
You're right 😂 Whoops.

Do you have your SAMPLE AUDITION rack available on patreon?
Big question, how do you add the softness on the transient of the snares? Does it sound like it has attack because of reverbtail?
If you want softer attack use snare inside a smaller and increase the attack of the ADSR. If you want harder attack use a compressor to pull down the sustain and add make up gain to emphasize the transient
Where can I just get the Sample Audition Addon
In any of the projects on my Patreon bro. It's in every one.
how do you copy and paste the notes ? :)
CND + C, CND + V
