You really go above and beyond when you demo which is what I love about your videos. That Ego power washer is by far the best I have seen and I love that it doesn't have to be plugged in. Great video!
Thanks for the review. I recently purchased the Ego Wet Dry so far I like it other than I can't find replacement bags. The pressure washer is intriguing but I would use it 70% of the time for washing my vehicles and I just don't think 1.2 GPM is enough. It's really the bare minimum. My Generac pressure washer is 2.5 GPM and that's perfect for car washing. But for everything else it looks like another winner from Ego.
I haven't used any EGO bads in my vac - you can just let it dump into the container - I'm not really sure what more gpm would do in terms of cleaning - I really like that you can set the power levels
@@KitearmyWhen you have respiratory and severe allergy issues the bags are a must. The fact they released a product without a supply of bags was disappointing to me. It's a good product nonetheless. I clean 100's of car a year and the GPM is very important, more so than "power".
Like all old grime a pre-treat will help but sometimes using a agitation item helps to break away that bonded junk. It is a good unit if you need power and no electric cords.
I’m enjoying mine for vehicle washing. As a fan rinseless washing, I thought I’d never say that. Since I’m team EGO I just had to see what the fuss was with pressure washing. Now I know. Just think of it as I did. I bought two more batteries, another charger, and EGO threw in the pressure washer and accessories.
I just got one recently. I love that it came with a siphon hose that you can just dunk in a bucket, for reasons like that my off grid hunting camp that needed cleaned doesn’t have a garden hose, and all I have to do is haul my water storage containers to camp with me, and dunk the siphon in…on another note though, I recently purchased two 12 amp hr batteries for this as well. The two 6 amps it came with are decently nice but the run time with them is ever so lackluster in my opinion
The real bottom line is a pressure washer’s cleaning units (CU), which is simply GPM*PSI. The Ego is 1.2*3200 or 3840. Remember this is BATTERY, so compare this with: Ryobi which lists at $599 and only has a CU of 1800 Greenworks which lists at $700, but does have a CU of 6000 (don’t know the runtime at that CU) Craftsman which lists at $549 and only has a CU of 1800 (but I see lots of discounts suddenly)
I have one and I love it. Will you be getting the Ego mini bike? Oh and by the way I bought the Ego STX4500 & that thing is insane. It's more powerful than my Echo 2620T !!
Seems all right, I don't need a power washer as I already have one. But will consider this if I ever need one, as I am already invested in the ECO system. I like that is has a pump to pull from a bucket, do most power washers do that?
Great video review as usual! I’m an Ego fan and early adopter. But I have a question for you. Why are you standing so close to the fence? Is the pressure not enough to stand further back? I have the Bauer Brushless 2300psi electric power washer and I saw people standing close to objects they were cleaning as well before I bought it. The. I got it home and noticed I didn’t have to stand that close and still get a nice powerful blast that cleaned anything I was trying to clean. I’m hoping to get this Ego power washer now and sell my Bauer! Also I saw a bit of leaking from the intake port. I’m wondering if that can be remedied with aftermarket quick connects.
Price is $799 at Lowe’s with battery for EGO. Give it another year or two and you see it down to $499 or $450…the $799 is regular price, so wait for it on sale which could be at least $50 to $100 cheaper.
The key here isn't so much price, it's gas powered tools anymore being ruined by high ethanol content gas being sold everywhere meaning carb rebuilds, stabilization additives or using expensive fuels to make sure they all keep running. Just the peace of mind not having to babysit gas powered yard tools is worth the price. It's why I finally bought an EGO mower last year. I still prefer the power of a gas mower, but the frustration and headache involved with keeping them running properly was too much. I'm sure when I go to start my gas pressure washer this spring, I'll be PO'd again because somehow any gas left in it.will required a day of cleaning it up just to use it. Thanks Corn Industry!
@@stevenbeall9637 I love my Greenworks battery mower. Right now I’m having an issue with my gas 3200 psi from Husqvarna. I only used it once and having problems starting it again. The choke is stuck in the middle. It’s too late to return it since I waited too long to use it once I bought it two years ago. I’m waiting for this ego pressure washer to drop in price. Any advice on how to get my gas pressure washer to work again? I have new gas and oil in it
Nice video. I am wondering how much $ it will cost (e.g., electricity, water and other supplies) to use this washing a SUV, given my local car wash shop is now $7 per wash with certain promotion. I am Avery interested in this product because I have EGO's snow blower, mower and trimmer.
@@Kitearmy I have over 20 of the Ryobi 40 volt batteries plus have lawnmowers chainsaws etc but that ego is strong but man $800 dollars is a lot I paid under $300 for the Ryobi model
Does not seem to be 3200 psi. My Generac is 3200 and seems much more forceful. Nice product and review tho! I can run mine on 1 gallon for about two hours full blast. I do agree with electric tools tho. Just not vehicles.
3200PSI +/- 10% at 1.2GPM, whereas most gas pressure washers are pushing double the GPM at that pressure. GPM is a huge factor to cleaning. Closest equivalent to gas 3K PSI pressure washers are the Greenworks 60v and 80v, claiming 2GPM at that 3000PSI rating.
1.2 gpm is pathetically low. Too many plastic pieces . 15 minutes run time is horrible. It's a great concept but for that money and you need four hundred bucks just in batteries to get it going just shows it has a long way to go.
@Kitearmy With any pressure washer, the higher GPM the better. With 3200 PSI and just 1.2 GPM you're really only better off cleaning smaller surfaces or fences. 2 GPM is the sweet spot, especially for cars.
Psi is not near as important as gpm with pressure washers. This ego pressure washer with 1.2 gpm is very lackluster and severely lacking. I wouldn't purchase this.
wtf. dude. are you actually washing your car with soap in the middle of the forest or dirt road or wherever you are without any drainage into the municipal water drain system? where the hell do you think that soapy water is going when you rinse it off? FFS. other than being completely irresponsible, I wouldn't be surprised if you're breaking local laws. .. doesn't matter if the public, private or even your own property.. you can't just pour detergent into the ground. it poisons wildlife, people's pets and contaminates ground water supply for the entire population.. so even the most vehement climate denying states in the US have laws about pouring detergent in places without municipal drainage to catch the runoff. there is no detergent that is safe to do that even if it claims to be "environmentally friendly"..

Yeah - I think this is right in line with other priced models. If you already owen EGO batteries, it is a no brainer

Would have been nice to hear how loud it was. I like quiet. And I couldn't tell, with the music blaring. Maybe do a part 2 without the music.
I'd love to see a side by side comparison between gas, plug in, and battery. With the cardboard test, with multiple layers.
Finally!!! The thing I've been wanting from!! This looks amazing. It's like the Cadillac of power washers too.

Why were the hose connections leaking at the start?
