The kit for ~$800 seems like a pretty good deal considering the 6ah batteries are listed for $350 each, an even sweeter deal for those who already have EGO tools that use those batteries.
I’ve got the Ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and love them. I have 2 batteries to run them and it works fine. For a pressure washer I don’t see the value in battery power, especially the high price and extra batteries. For me a corded electric pressure is fine and much less expensive.
Thanks for testing this. As an owner of several Ego yard tools, I’ve been wanting them to make a pressure washer for years. This will be more reasonable for people like me who already have batteries and chargers and buy the tool only.
The EGO pressure washer is a perfect unit for those like myself who live in a rental community and either don't have access to running water or proper power. My detailing garage is about 50 feet away from my washpad and have setup a cart using a Worx Hydroshot the last two years but it has limitations. For one the hose is short and very stiff because because of the molded power cord from trigger to the motor plus the performance is lack luster but gets the job done. I'm less than two weeks away from ordering this for a major upgrade with the EGO!
Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.
ever try the 12 amp hour or 10 amp hour batteries from the lawn mowers in it just wondering if they will even fit but if they did it would double your runtime
Thanks for the detailed review! I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this without batteries, as I already have an EGO zero-turn mower with four 12.0Ah batteries! My run time should be good!
I have EGO, mower, string and hedge trimmer, blower. Great products my only concern in repairs. My daughters quit in the middle of summer I had to take it 50 miles out of town to get it repaired and it took two months to get it fixed!
Great review. Got mine a week or so ago and did my first wash with it the other day and its performance was OUTSTANDING. In short, if you are looking at a new pressure washer for your car or anything that will require a pressure washer this is IT. Thank you for letting me know about the 3.0 orifice as well. Will be getting one of the OG Mosmatic Nozzle with a 40-degree.
Thanks for the video. Although I have recently purchased some Reeobi 18V One+ tools, I am a big fan of Ego products. I have 3 Ego units including a dual battery mower and I'm very happy with both quality and performance.
I've been using a Worx Hydroshot for the last few years, its not like a Kranzle but its really compact and gets the job done. For me as a weekend warrior living in a condo is one of the few solutions when the car gets a bit too dirty for a rinseless. After seeing this I'd say, if you have the space to store it, have access to water near the car and you don't have to go through ramps or stairs carrying stuff like me, this EGO one seems to be a way better option
Wow! 1st. Time watching you, me likes & subd. bcuz your review was much more thorough than KiteArmy on this EGO product I just learned of it and considering purchasing for home use for all the Cons you mentioned. Good ! Job
I love my ego power washer, it was a bit expensive but considering if you were to buy two of their 6 amp batteries separate, that’s $600 of product right off the rip, so the price is generally not too terrible. I have used mine up at my off-grid hunting camp where a garden hose is non existent. I did have to haul a bunch of water jugs up in my truck but the siphon hose attachment works perfectly when just dunked in a bucket or big pot full of water, I really like that aspect for off-grid useage. Ive got a solar system set up at my camp so I can charge the batteries as needed off my inverter, so no issue with power for me. Even so, I did buy two of the 12 amp hr batteries since I saw a 2 pack for a good deal. Hopefully that’ll extend the run time enough to not even have to switch batteries during a pretty long job
Great informative video! but can we use the other third-party nozzles with this pressure washer or can we use the Karacher accessories with this pressure washer with some adapter etc?
that ryobi unit is on sale for 149.00 with 2 6ah batteries, just picked mine up this week. just for those curious and happen to see my comment. was 143 out the door w military discount
Just bought the 2700 PSI Greenworks last year and this would have been great with my "EGO Ecosystem" of batteries. Thanks for the video and unfortunate good news lol Too bad they didn't bring this out last year. Not having the worry about one other cable to drag around sounds awesome, especially if you already own a leaf blower, mower or snowblower.
Awesome video It would be amazing if you can make a video that covers the Fanttik NB8 Ultra Cordless Pressure Washer it seems pretty handy with the water tank attached to it, keep up the great content!
As always, great job and sincere thanks for posting review videos. I was wondering if you have ever heard of hydro silex or considered doing any tests with their products?
I was JUST at Lowes looking at this pressure washer and I wasn't sure if I should pick it up. The alternative I was looking at was the Active 2.0. Thanks for the great timing!
yea thats a good choice. But there are others that are similar as well. They was a 1/4 yellow hose from Dewalt that was really easy to work with too and it was a good price
Great testing something I would love to have but never could afford it I do have the Worx 600psi hand held which I like having for things I can't get my pressure washer to great video Josh
Chervon, if you’re reading these: Get a SKU out here with just the unit, no batteries, attachments, etc. There’s gotta be thousands of potential buyers who already have all the peripherals and a surplus of batteries (like me). I’d be the first pre-order if they did that 🙏
I do mobile and this could eliminate a generator to be carried but then might need vacuum which ego has that covered. I actually was able to use the pre-production unit last September 2023. Your review was excellent and yes I would be attaching my 50-ft Uber hose and my gun too!
Here's the thing: I already own a variety of Ego products (very happy with all of them), so I already have batteries (two 7.5 Ah from my snow blower, that, incidentally, last longer than the 6.0 Ah ones), which makes buying the washer without batteries at only $450 a no-brainer.
I’ve been using a Ryobi 600 power washer for my mobile jobs. It’s held up well, but I’ve been looking for a stronger and more durable pressure washer that can be water fed through a bucket or any water source. This looks like a winner, the price is kinda high but 😏
I love how you talk hella fast lol! You say what needs to be said, in a digestible, understandable manner and speed, but don't drag the video on further than needs to be. Anything that you may have faster than comprehensible, you include more detail in the description. Reminds me of my military instruction days. As much information, as quick and comprehensible as possible. You understand? Yes? On to the next!
Battery might be expensive but it pays for itself. Also you can often sale the batteries from your kits or old batteries to offset cost. Like with any other tools and a bit of luck, you can catch all sort of sales throughout the years. Gotta pay a bit more for their quality and expertise. If you're invested, it's well worth it especially if you own a few 12ah batteries. With that said, The new pressure washer and wet dry vacuum is on the higher price but they do the job really well.
Dewalt started bigger electric tools with their 60V system 6-8 years ago. I own most of it and am selling on EBay to replace with Ego. Batteries are much cheaper than dewalt and last longer.
Not for me, but it seems like a good unit for the person that's looking for something like this. My only concern would be the batteries - I have an Ego leaf blower that I use strictly for drying cars and I had to have the battery replaced once under warranty (less than a year after I bought it), and the replacement started acting up again last year but seems to have (hopefully) sorted itself out.
I wonder what you think about the OG spec pressure washer hose or the MTM KobraJet hose. They seem to be very high-end and expensive. Would love to see a comparison between those and the more affordable Uber flex hose. Thanks.
Can't wait to get it. I'm alittle disappointed with it only coming with 6amp hr batteries. Yes they upgraded the 5's but i hope they pump out a 10 amp hr packaged deal.
Instinctively, everyone thinks that our battery powered unit would somehow be lower performance. The fact is, batteries can provide much higher current than your wall outlet can AND it’s DC current. The downside, of course is runtime. So, you can get Kranzle 240V performance, albeit only for about 15 mins, before you have to recharge.
A little too expensive for me, but maybe over time it'll go down in price or go on sale at certain times. Ego has some good products (other than their snowblowers) so hopefully this one becomes popular
Uhhh, I live in MN and the 24" 2-stage EGO is fantastic. Our 2023 winter was filled with a ton of heavy wet snow. My EGO has zero issues with thight high snow and the waist high plow berm at the end of my driveway. 3 years, goin strong.
I wonder if they'll try to make an air compressor. If they do that, for a mobile detailing setup I feel like you could eliminate a gas generator and run purely off of batteries, since they already have a vacuum, pressure washer, and air blower for drying. Am I missing anything that would need power in a mobile setup? And then if you have solar to charge those batts, you could be running off of free clean power. The question is how long it would take to pay all of that off versus just using the traditional setup. Not to mention a lot of homes will let you use their power.
Thinking of buying a couple tips with the guard like that, but just curious what is the standard size on regular tips? 2.0? 2.5? What orifice size are the tips that come with the ego washer?
Does anyone know if other company car wash attachments would work on the Ego pressure washer? Like maybe Karcher rotating soft brush or rotating noodle glove? I called Ego and provided feedback. I would buy this if they sold car wash accessory attachments. Soap dispensing rotating soft bristle brush and wheel rim brush for example.
I’m new to all off this type of thing so please excuse my ignorance. Does this pressure washer allow you to use electricity (corded) rather than the batteries?
I wonder if not using the wand will give you more battery time, so it’s not draining through Machine and Wand or is it still the same with a different gun?
Run time should be the same regardless. The run time is determined by power (in watts) used. Since this has no variable trigger and it is set power levels, as long as the system is running, it should be pulling consistent wattage regardless of the head, wand, or nozzle. Only thing to do to improve the run time is to use lower power settings or get bigger batteries
ah man i want to know what it can get on low power even if it's 1.2 gpm.. if it's going to get you through 1 day of cars then it's worth it and what is the run time on low
Hello, hopefully this message gets to you. Being a lithium ion battery, you should never fully discharge the battery. On the other side you also dont want to leave them on the charger for an extended time. I dont want to promote other websites, but let me know if you'd like resources that support the above information. Also recommended recharge for lithium ion is between 50 and 100 so if you finish up a job dont hesitate to throw it back on the charger to full charge and take off. Hope this helps!
Hey Josh! I am in the market for a pressure washer to use for car washing. We have another electric for house stuff. I was leaning towards the Active 2.0 until I saw this video. Really nice job! We have a bunch of other EGO tools, so now the plot thickens. Which would you recommend?
This is one of those things that is great if you need it, but a waste of money if you don't. If you have power available you can get a better pressure washer with no limits on the amount of time you can use it.
Hi Josh, If EGO would of also incorporated a OPTIONAL ability to hook into a Electrical Outlet (Pull-Cord) with the Ability to Charge the TWO batteries While in the OPERATING COMPARTMENT, Basically Operate as BOTH Electric & Battery, this would be the perfect Power Washing Machine…Hands Down! You mentioned that it took 1hr / 1:15 to recharge, this way the Consumer could just use the unit to recharge & EGO could Ditch there charger for COST 💲 SAVING$!!!!! Just My 2 Cents!!
Looks good. HD will definitely need to drop the price of theirs or at least throw in a battery kit. Otherwise the only people that will buy it will be people in the Ryobi battery system, but even then they may opt for a unit with much more power. One downside is selling a unit that uses two batteries, but the charger can only charge one at a time, but that's typical I guess. I had the same issue with my mower.
Hi Josh, such a huge fan of your channel, one day I will win something! Anyway, do you think this will hold up for a mobile detailer day in/out? I was thinking about going the Eco/Anker power station route instead of a gas generator and an Ego layout with this and the shop vac, heck w/ the Anker you could put solar panels on the roof of your van and charge the power station as you work? Anyway, curious what you think the longterm usage of this will be.
16 minutes run time on high seams very short to me. It would take me several days to do my entire driveway.
The kit for ~$800 seems like a pretty good deal considering the 6ah batteries are listed for $350 each, an even sweeter deal for those who already have EGO tools that use those batteries.

Totally agree! If you already have the batteries then the $450 is much better to work with. it s a great unit and built well
If I have two 2.5 AH batteries, would that not be enough for this pressure washer ?
@@Samermogyes! Will last about 5 mins though…

This EGO pressure washer is a BEAST! Great video Josh! Thanks
No fluff No filler Just facts. Great channel
Thanks so much, I appreciate it
Awesome review, and the fact you don't need a pressurized water source is gold.

I would like to see how to connect an aftermarket foam cannon with the included hose, which adaptor would be needed?
My go to pressure washer guy! Thanks for reviewing. Looks like a beast.
As always, great job and sincere thanks for posting review videos. I was wondering if you have ever heard of hydro silex or considered doing any tests with their products?
So supposedly stihl is making a cordless pressure washer too. I just got that info today from a buddy. 2000 PSI, 1.2 GPM also.
The Stihl is a rebadge. They don't make pressure washers, just stickers.
I was JUST at Lowes looking at this pressure washer and I wasn't sure if I should pick it up. The alternative I was looking at was the Active 2.0. Thanks for the great timing!
Well one is battery powered and the other isn't 😅
@YoungSperm you can always converted to electric 😏😂
Hey Josh do like or recommend fexzilla air hose for your compressor? Like you recommended the Uber flex hose for your pressure washer.
yea thats a good choice. But there are others that are similar as well. They was a 1/4 yellow hose from Dewalt that was really easy to work with too and it was a good price
@@imjoshv great thanks for the info
would love to know if Ego's 12ah batteries would make a difference in flow & gpm. I got 2 of them with their 28" snow blower. which is amazing btw
Great review, since I already have the EGO snow blower with two batteries I'm going to buy this one as a tool only. for hundreds less. Thanks!
Does it support other wands and foam canon ? Or you need to use the one that came with the tools? Thanks
Great video by the way!!

Thanks for testing! Question for you on the siphon part. Is the end of it weighted at all so it would go to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket?

hope so! I got 2 12ah batteries with Ego's 28" snowblower, and would love to know if they increase psi/gpm
I think it will be more for run time than anything. @stealthhtm23
@@19donnie77 that goes without saying, but I want 3 gpm @ 1,200 psi!!! lol
@stealthhtm23 I'm looking to buy this pressure washer because I live in a apartment and I think it will because perfect .

I forgot to ask you if Uberflex makes air hoses for your air compressor?
im n ot sure actually. The parent company that owns the Uberflex name is called ProPulse. I did a search and didnt see any but i would think they do
can I use two different battery from ego?? a 5ah and a 10ah???
Great review! How does this compare to the greenworks 80v pressure 3000 psi to you
Why didn’t you show the turbo nozzle specs?
I love how you talk hella fast lol! You say what needs to be said, in a digestible, understandable manner and speed, but don't drag the video on further than needs to be. Wish it had an ac option for an optional cord to prevent work delay
Have you tried a shorter length hose to see how much more power you may gain?
Have you used the greenworks?
Battery might be expensive but it pays for itself.
Also you can often sale the batteries from your kits or old batteries to offset cost.

Everything I've bought from EGO is quality. Their philosophy is to share the batteries amongst the different products.
Dewalt started bigger electric tools with their 60V system 6-8 years ago. I own most of it and am selling on EBay to replace with Ego. Batteries are much cheaper than dewalt and last longer.
E-go also has a fast charger if you prefer.
Do the 7.5 Ah batteries fit in this unit? Couldn’t see the battery compartment very well but didn’t look like much extra room with the 6 Ah batteries.
yes
Not for me, but it seems like a good unit for the person that's looking for something like this. My only concern would be the batteries - I have an Ego leaf blower that I use strictly for drying cars and I had to have the battery replaced once under warranty (less than a year after I bought it), and the replacement started acting up again last year but seems to have (hopefully) sorted itself out.
Thanks for the test Josh. I was wondering if you tested how loud this is? Can you do a decibel test please and thank you?
how much variation of these numbers would you expect at 3,347 ft altitude?
Good review, but really surprised you didn't do a noise level test.....

@@imjoshv it was that really large unit. Almost the size of the pressure washer in this video.
@@imjoshv it was "power station"
Do you think this will go on sale during Black Friday?
I’m not sure, I know ego does do some sales but it’s usually on certain items
This or Active 2.0 for cleaning floors outside? Which one gives better results regardless of battery vs corded?
i would not buy an active for commercial work
@@Chris-eo1bp I only want it for home use. Wash my car, clean the side walk, driveway, etc.
Will it run with other wands?
Hi Josh,
If EGO would of also incorporated a OPTIONAL ability to hook into a Electrical Outlet (Pull-Cord) with the Ability to Charge the TWO batteries While in the OPERATING COMPARTMENT, Basically Operate as BOTH Electric & Battery, this would be the perfect Power Washing Machine…Hands Down! You mentioned that it took 1hr / 1:15 to recharge, this way the Consumer could just use the unit to recharge & EGO could Ditch there charger for COST 💲 SAVING$!!!!! Just My 2 Cents!!
PLUS….With these battery operated Power Washers, don’t they loose performance as the batteries 🪫 loose power/charge??????
You can get one that charges two at a time. lol I have one.
Lowes
@@Shadow-7773 O know that. But it's not included in this kit.
Great review. A couple of acres in San Diego ! More impressive than the pressure washer. Would you get one if you had to pay for it.?
Hi Josh, such a huge fan of your channel, one day I will win something! Anyway, do you think this will hold up for a mobile detailer day in/out? I was thinking about going the Eco/Anker power station route instead of a gas generator and an Ego layout with this and the shop vac, heck w/ the Anker you could put solar panels on the roof of your van and charge the power station as you work? Anyway, curious what you think the longterm usage of this will be.
Amazon has the same unit for $449. Same as Ace Hardware.
Yep that’s tool only though, no batteries or charger. I’ve seen it between 449-499
I want to upgrade my craftsman 1.2 gpm To the active 2.0
