I should mention, the Armored Core Discord server has downloads for Emulators already set up with the perfect settings for every AC game. Even the 5thgen games can be emulated properly now!
Also Karasawa in an interesting character in From Soft as one of the people who were "there" when from soft was transitioning from a business software company to a game dev company, he was working on the prototype game engine that gave birth to King's Field and AC, so in memoriam to his work all AC games will have a gun named after the guy even if it isnt exactly named after him.... Technically of the "15" games only 6 games are still sold legally AC1 is still sold by Sony so as long as your console generation can run PS1 games buy it on PSN, AC 3, SL and LR are available also as well for the PSP and is sold by From Soft themselves (assuming you can access the PSP PSN library) ACVD is available on the PSN if your PS3 is still alive, AC6 well its new of course it is, also talking about a remaster is going to be a whole can of worms because of this franchise's "rich history" like 6 licensors? Across 3 regions
that's a good point! not to say that it's a bad method of getting the game, it's just not one that's sustainable in the long term since sony can shut down the ps3 store whenever they want, which almost happened in recent years iirc. ideally, older games should be available on newer platforms via emulation or porting, but the ps3 store staying up is something i get happy about whenever i get reminded about it.
