Please make this a series I think you'd really love it after a while. It's kind of like Sekiro where it feels different from a Souls game but it's still a Fromsoftware game at heart meaning it WILL beat you down until you get it right.
I'd love to see you play through the rest of the game! There are a lot more frequent bosses and mini-bosses after these missions. They're really just trying to ease the player in to the game, especially for a lot of folks this'll be their first AC game. Plus, the game is very short compared to other FromSoft titles, so you could knock it all out relatively quick.
Here is a tip, you can change button prompts shown on the screen, to your preferred ones in the options, e.g. xbox or ps button prompts. DO NOT SKIP the training, it explains many game mechanics and gives you free parts. P.S. Keep it up, the more you play the more you'll love it...

I'm now convinced that 80% of the people who quit just ignored half the tutorial like you did, props to you for sticking through it in spite of the crippled movement and combat misconceptions. This game is arguably more aggressive than bloodborne thanks to the stagger function, victory in fights relies on your ability to consistantly increase stagger without getting hit, and this typically requires getting close as quick as possible, aka assault boost.
@awhellnah__which is funny because you don’t have to use heaps, and manually aiming the way we’re used to from previous games makes your tracking from firing much better. The skill gap is still there if they want it.

There are no bosses that rival the Strider in terms of size, but there are a bunch of unique bosses that are a lot of fun. There is also a Rykard-type gimmick fight that is just pure art. Quick tip: DON'T BE AFRAID TO CHANGE LOADOUTS. You can buy and sell back any parts you have for 100% of their original price, and there are certain bosses that are strong/weak against certain weapons (i.e. the chapter 1 final boss is weak against pulse weapons, the chapter 2 final boss is extremely strong against kinetic weapons like the rifle you used but very weak against explosives like missiles and bazookas). Also, don't forget about the other parts; the generator deals with how much stamina you have vs how quickly you recharge, the booster determines your overboost speed, dodge speed, and how fast you fly straight up, and your FCS part influences your lock-on and how accurate it is at different ranges. Overall, this game is like Elden Ring: it is as difficult as you want to make it, so don't be afraid to experiment and try new weapons and parts. Hope that helped.

Yes, please upload this. This game does not disappoint. I would suggest watching the briefings as well. They do a great job at actually telling you what to do and who is giving you the job. Makes it fun when you have to choose who to stab in the back later.
Honestly, AC6's tutorial boss is very well designed. It basically forces you to learn the fundamentals of mobility, evasion & combat in one encounter. I severely underestimated this boss when I first started and was quickly humbled lol
In hindsight after beating the game once (for now) for one of its endings, I can say that the true experience starts after the end of Chapter 2 when the 2nd great "filter" comes in. From there onwards, the bosses only get harder as with any FromSoftware game. But hey, having more things to blow up along the way ain't the worse thing. Storywise though, you'll probably have to play till Chapter 3 to get to the more cohesive part. Edit: I was referring to the filters when they were in my first playthrough, not NG+.

Sorry, should've specified that I meant _in hindsight_ after getting into NG+, chapter 2 was the hardest on my first playthrough. Of course, until I got to the boss of chapter 3 and 4.
i dislike it when people dont pay attention to cutscenes and character dialogue and then say "i dont care about this story". the story is great, but like other from soft games you have to piece it together by paying attention to the little things.
Not even that, AC games literally tell you the story in briefings, to say there is no story means that they're literally just being ignorant on purpose. It's so sad that people pretend to give AC a chance but not even try to put in the effort to understand it.
Bosses and miniboses like the human piloted mechs are pretty frequent also the game has multiple missions that unlock and change in new game+ and new game++

The farther you go, the harder the missions and the better the story is. You get lowkey invested into each of the factions and what they basically are pining for.
Maaan, trust me. Some of those bosses are Top tier fromsoftware. It'd almost be criminal for you not to upload AC 6. Also you can replay missions to do fights you missed out on. Loving the return to Fromsoft
There's this one stretch in the second half of chapter 2 and the first half of 3 where you fight a new boss pretty much every mission and it is glorious and terrifying. If you know you know.
You're on the cusp of more good boss fights. Also clearing the story and going into NG + and NG++ will give you different armored core vs armored core fights. Also... she's back.
Hey Afro, I really personally prefer watching gameplay through edited videos like these, takes too long watching live and I lose interest if I'm not the one playing the game, so I would appreciate if you go ahead and do a whole series on this!
The story is actually good, very gundam and codegeass. Its more anime than you think specially stuff in ng+ and ng++. The first few missions are weak but its just there to teach you the basics. Id watch you play this just for your reaction on key moments/story beats and how you deal with the boss fights and "obstacles". I hope you get interested enough to play all 3 endings and upload it.
Really annoying when people who skip cutscenes comment on the story. Dude you are deliberately skipping it ofcourse you can't get into it. Tiktok generation attention span only cares about instant gratification
This game is amazing. Definitely goes harder the further you progress. There's some insane fights down the line and you feel like a badass in your mech. I just finished my first run and plan on getting the other 2 endings. Would love to see you finish at least 1 run through
I do hope you continue this, in fact I'm hoping you play through it 3 times to see all the endings. The story does pick up later on and I think it's pretty good, and you get more frequent bosses as you progress through the game. Give it a chance, the game is a gem. P.S. You can change the buttons on screen to make it show controller buttons. Just go to Settings -> Input Device Settings -> Device for On-Screen Prompts
Hell yeah, Afro! Keep it up! I love this game, and I was hoping just the other day that you’d give it a shot. As for the story, I personally think it’s brilliant. Brought me to tears, seriously. So if you’re willing to pay some attention (mostly to enemy dialogue) and engage with it, you could really jive with it.
Bro you haven't even scratched the surface, so many mech combinations, so many missions, three different endings, so many bosses, unparalleled victory feeling this game is unreal in every aspect don't even get me started on the pvp
7:58 TO clarify Afro. the yellow filling bar above your health and the enemies health is the stamina or posture bar (think back to sekiro if that helps) if it fills to RED. you are stunned and take more damage. and the same goes for enemies. I hope this clarifies
Afro I'm beyond down for a full ACVI play through. The set pieces are phenomenal and the building portion just gets better and better. There are multiple endings and stuff but just one play through to credits would be super enjoyable to watch you do!!
The story is pretty legit tbh. Don't even worry about what you missed, it makes way more sense the 2nd time, and you get a good overview by ng+2 (3rd time) and a different ending if you get everything.
the story of Armored Core 6 started off as just doing jobs, but quite quickly picks up to a war for the planet and after the first chapter, you learn a truth about the coral that not many know and it gets better from there, and there's 3 endings, each providing new story elements the more you play (especially the 3rd playthrough).
you can change the button prompts in the settings btw. also i'm only halfway through ch. 3 but this game is genuinely so damn good. story gets a lot better as you progress and the bosses are sick as hell.
If the target is outside of the weapon's effective range, it's more likely for the bullets to just bounce off. The game also shows "ricochet" instead of damage numbers.
This game is 100% worth your effort and attention afro. All 3 playthroughs and endings are damn good, and the characters of this game are pretty well liked by most players. Hell, you haven't even met the waifu yet. I hope I at least see to get you meet Ayre and Balty.
PLEASE MORE LIKE THIS. I beat this the second time yesterday and all the pieces of armor and weapons are absolutely amazing. All the different builds that you can do is just great.
bro basically got past the tutorial and sounded like he literally ignored the actual story 😭 he dont know most of the game man we're cooked. I urge you to play more afro.
The STRIDER itself is the largest singular "boss" that you'll fight, but the stakes and the scale of the battles you take place in will continue to escalate, even into NG+ and NG++. And you will continue to unlock new weapons and parts throughout the entire game, also replaying missions can net you a bunch of extra cash as well as completing the AR training missions.
Chapter one is full of stuff like that, but usually it's the end of the chapter that you get a boss. There's a few really interesting boss battles that you just don't expect to happen the way they do. Ultimately though chapter 1 the entirety of it is basically training for you because once you get to mission tan of that chapter the game ramps up its difficulty significantly. The story also becomes more coherent.
You really need to give this game a shot, even if it's on your own time (despite how much I want to watch you play it). Mech's weren't really my thing either, but the story gets way cooler in the second half of the first playthrough as well as bosses and hard missions being WAY more frequent. The game is slow to start for sure. More missions, bosses, story content, endings and alternative version of missions are added in NG+ and NG++ as well as new weapons/parts. This is the first game since Elden Ring that has made me go for all of the steam achievements.
This is my game of the year so far 100% Though if ya wanna get the full story ya gonna have to pay attention to the coms but they do get a ton more intresting and even funny the more the game continues. I cried at some parts too ngl 10/10 game
Not sure if anyone has posted it yet but there's an option you can change in the settings that changes the tutorials to whatever controller you're using
Not so fun fact: The tester AC you merc’d was the upcoming G13 (Red Guns member), a piece of information you should keep in mind for the “Attack the Dam” mission
There is an option in system to change the prompts to controller. Was gonna complain about you just not listening to the tutorials but you eventually got assault boosting and target lock down. You get a kickass boss in like 1/3rd of the missions, chapter 1 is just kinda light on them. The story is actually pretty interesting towards the tail end and on NG+ and NG++ (which have unique missions and story content). Good luck on balteus.
Yo..this game is hype asf. You def should make it a series my G. I just beat the game but EASILY would watch you experience the game all over again. 🤘🏾

@@felswinter7938 Honestly if he continues the series without putting in the bare minimum to understand the story, I don't think I'll be enjoying this playthrough. I will tune in just to see Michigan chew his ass out on that one mission though.
@@draaxus2969I doubt that he'll outright ignore everything the briefing has to say.
But he's likely won't be trying to connect the dots to understand the story.
@@draaxus2969 If you're talking about the mission I think you're talking about its gonna be hilarious.
Man it's so awkward when you finish a mission destroying a base then the very next mission is from the base you just destroyed.
PLEASE continue this! The bosses are definitely FromSoft bosses, you won't be disappointed!
Story is pretty good, it's worth paying attention to. But the boss fights will probably be right up your alley Afro. I can see you enjoying this game.
There's this one stretch in the second half of chapter 2 and the first half of 3 where you fight a new boss pretty much every mission and it is glorious and terrifying. If you know you know.
Chapter 2 is three missions
You're on the cusp of more good boss fights. Also clearing the story and going into NG + and NG++ will give you different armored core vs armored core fights.
Also... she's back.
The fact that my guy made his mech look like Kallen's Guren from Code Geass makes me a happy fan. SPICY vid my boi
Yes, there are wing like parts, though they are just guns. Also, you can make your logo in the decal menu and put it on the meck, insanely creative
@awhellnah__which is why they said “wing like”, what were you trying to say with your comment lmao
Watching him fight the helicopter without assault boosting was painful.
AC6 was my first Armored Core game too, and I never realised I was missing this gameplay. Theres nothing quite like this.
>doesnt listen to dialogue
>"the story isnt it for me"
lots of bosses in here. gotta say i been loving this game. plz play more🙏🏽
Seeing the new mech game being uploaded made me come back here and DEMAND you revisit this game
You can see additional stats for each part and use contextual help button to understand the importance of each stat.
This game is amazing. Definitely goes harder the further you progress. There's some insane fights down the line and you feel like a badass in your mech. I just finished my first run and plan on getting the other 2 endings. Would love to see you finish at least 1 run through
The story isn't anything incredibly complex but there's some extremely anime moments and some really awesome characters
"do yall care about the story?" oh boyyyy you are in for a rideee lmao
Hell yeah, Afro! Keep it up!
I love this game, and I was hoping just the other day that you’d give it a shot.
As for the story, I personally think it’s brilliant. Brought me to tears, seriously. So if you’re willing to pay some attention (mostly to enemy dialogue) and engage with it, you could really jive with it.
Bro you haven't even scratched the surface, so many mech combinations, so many missions, three different endings, so many bosses, unparalleled victory feeling this game is unreal in every aspect don't even get me started on the pvp
Would definitely like to see a full playthrough for this game!!
7:58 TO clarify Afro. the yellow filling bar above your health and the enemies health is the stamina or posture bar (think back to sekiro if that helps) if it fills to RED. you are stunned and take more damage. and the same goes for enemies. I hope this clarifies
I haven't seen a lot of LP coverage of this game, so I would LOVE to see you play more of this!
Afro I'm beyond down for a full ACVI play through. The set pieces are phenomenal and the building portion just gets better and better. There are multiple endings and stuff but just one play through to credits would be super enjoyable to watch you do!!
Doesnt even finish act one "games easy" 😂
Bro I would love to see you play the rest of this game, it just keeps getting better and better
The story is actually better than i expected , makes it more interesting after ch1
Glad that you're enjoying it. I hope you manage to beat a certain boss at the end of 1st Act.
you can change the button prompts in the settings btw. also i'm only halfway through ch.
NG++ unlocks new missions
bro basically got past the tutorial and sounded like he literally ignored the actual story 😭
he dont know most of the game man we're cooked.
KEEP UPLOADING THIS GAME! #1 PRIORITY!
i hope everyone noticed the souls-born starting the game where you character fell through and/or are in a dark room with light coming from the above.
We will need one more episode of this series. Just to see how he handle baltues boss.
If you beat the game, then you can re play that mission but for the other side, and you protect it. That mission is sick. Play this game.
"Chapter 1 is just kinda light on them"
Balteus: "Time to get Filtered."
Yo..this game is hype asf. You def should make it a series my G. I just beat the game but EASILY would watch you experience the game all over again. 🤘🏾
I’d LOVE if Afro continues this, if you want more humanoid battles, don’t worry there are plenty. As for the big dudes, there is some distance between them but they are all quite a spectacle
I have been waiting to see that tittle for this game, God is good
More please, this game is awesome, it’s my first armored core game and I was skeptical too at first, but it gets a lot better
