The big tip that helped me with the entire game was realizing hard-lock works when you *don't move your right stick at all*. If you try to shift your lock while hard lock is enabled it can break the lock, if you don't move your camera at all you will stay 100% locked onto your target at all times no matter what.

Honestly? All Armored Core main games always goes to; 1. Save money by going energy early on. 2. Get good with two builds that counter each other. 3. When facing "impossible" mission, take a deep breath and change loadouts. The trifecta Armored Core laws, at least for me. You can play as nasty and exploitative as you want, since you're mercenary, and the number one rule is always to prioritize yourself above all else, no matter the method.
Fun fact the weapon that zanny uses the "pile bunker" may have become a concept for the game from a manga and novel called "all you need is kill" made by the guy that made death note ☝🤓
Hey Zanny... If you want to S rank this mission you also need to kill the hidden boss hiding to the right of the start. And he is waiting for you... IN HIS WHEELCHAIR.

The pressure for people expecting a souls game made FromSoft put a lot of meme enemies in the game, or more specifically, a lot of meme enemies in one spot 😅

Big sad, one of the easiest missions in the campaign gave him this much trouble. Hopefully he tweaks his builds since those were what was causing the artificial difficulty spike lol
I did not know your pain when I first watched this... I do now, I ended up switching to double-shotguns just for this guy. I swear, the boss alone is one of the hardest AC fights, and that's without the runback. As a note, I did this on my fast and agile/lightweight build, a couple of times I got to the boss without taking more than a single hit... it didn't matter, shotguns were the only way. The first time I killed the boss, I was at 1hp, and there was an add left, so it killed me, and made me reset the mission, the pain was immesurable.

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone get hard tilted by a miniboss...
That was a miniboss ???? Oh hell nah 😅
@@kreativeillustr8syeah it’s basically a miniboss. You will fight this guy like 3 times in the entire campaign. He’s just a more beefed up AC
@@MaidenlessScrub thats crazy , Ive never played any Armor core game so I didnt know. I do have to agree with Zanny though there being no checkpoint there is some rage inducing stuff ngl.
@@kreativeillustr8s checkpoint is something new in AC6. The previous AC games don’t have checkpoint. And tbh, Zanny is one of the rare cases that actually struggle with this guy. The rest usually just blow him up so hard that they even forget if this was a mission
@@kreativeillustr8sthis miniboss is absolutely nothing
PCA Warrant Officer: Your up against the wall AND I AM THE FUCKIN WALL
zanny truely has the unga bunga mindset if he's raging over this mission.
I'm surprised this is where he broke. This mission only took me around 5 attempts. Not having a checkpoint isn't *that* big of a deal for 3 waves of enemies and a boss. It does make learning the boss harder but this one doesn't fair well against the pulse blade. Ibis was much more rage inducing for me even with a checkpoint.
The big tip that helped me with the entire game was realizing hard-lock works when you *don't move your right stick at all*. If you try to shift your lock while hard lock is enabled it can break the lock, if you don't move your camera at all you will stay 100% locked onto your target at all times no matter what.
Bruh, seeing him break his own lock hurt to watch!
Yeah I realized this on MnK in my NG+ playthrough. If you're wondering how this would work as you explained, and to be used on MnK. While holding the mouse, turn to the heel of your hand(basically 90° on your pinky)to make the mouse sensor have no contact on a surface. There's legitimately a video on this as well
@@soksocks Sounds like the infamous Armored Core reverse grip for the old games. Take your controller and flip it upside down so the triggers are facing up and the buttons are facing away from you. Use your thumbs on the triggers and your pointer and middle fingers to hit the face buttons/joysticks.
@@Khotetsu luckily, it's a lot less complicated with MnK, specifically just your mouse. Since it's really only your mouse solely for hardlock, keybinds are whatever to each individual
Every single build in this video could've easily cleared the mission. Zanny's biggest enemy wasn't Fromsoft, it was his own tilt. This was extremely painful to watch unfold, I can't imagine him going back for Ring Freddie's log either - probably the first time I've seen Zanny snap at his own hardware, too.
Just wait till Zanny has to go back to this mission for the battlelogs and he learns there's an entire AC fight at the very beginning.
dont you love it when zanny is throwing a temper tantrum?
I'm SO GLAD Zanny's having problems with this one, I thought i was the only one :'D Sure i got stuck to Balteus for a minute, but pretty much every other boss in the game I did on 1st of 2nd try, EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE... I was stuck for HOURS on him for some reason and felt like I was driven closer to madness than any other videogame ever has before! Af friend fortunately recommended trying quad shotguns on him and that absolutely destroyed him, but man.. Hard #relatable for this one, thanks for sharing the suffering Zanny
Personally, I've found it really useful to switch to a generator that really focuses on overall capacity, and either a good EN recovery after full exhaustion, or a low recovery delay with good speed.
I can't remember if the coral generator(s) are available at this point, but they certainly helped on repeat runs, what with how they recover much better after full depletion. :)
@@Galgamos you speak wisely man, changing the gen could have made a massive difference.. Always felt like it was so easy to run out of EN and then get bursted down as soon as he got closer with his shield bashes!
Heavy cavalry with Pulse Shields are why double stun needles exists fr.
The REAL problem was you were not using the Balam tetra legs tho.
Watching this live and trying to tell him to charge the shoulder laser cannons hurt my soul. We were just trying to help you Zanny 😢
Charge the laser canon
Charge the missiles to hit all mts at once
Wait a bit after the warning beep to dodge the enemy's charged laser...
He could've made this mission so much easier if he chilled a bit
Honestly? All Armored Core main games always goes to;
Also as such a Slow Tank u should prolly never charge the pile Bunker since u need to line up perfectly for that attack
Fun fact the weapon that zanny uses the "pile bunker" may have become a concept for the game from a manga and novel called "all you need is kill" made by the guy that made death note ☝🤓
This boss hurt my soul, I had to do the other mission
Me too, I just couldn’t cope with that HC.
BALAM is such an underdog, you had no idea how much i tested the boundaries of the game dynamic narrative just to see them come on top.
Zanny when there's no checkpoint : You can't do this to me..
YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED
😂😅
It’s always fun watching someone who is better than you at most games, struggle at something you’ve first tried every time lol
im soo happy because the feeling you get when playing this is as good as the ps1 ac game. never change fromsoft, never change
Hey Zanny... If you want to S rank this mission you also need to kill the hidden boss hiding to the right of the start. And he is waiting for you... IN HIS WHEELCHAIR.
It's weird how different people find different bosses difficult. This guy was a breeze for me.
I found the starting helicopter to be a decent challenger (beat it on first go but burned all my repair kits) and Balteus to be a tad difficult (4 tries to pass), but fuck me the PCA Warrant Officer is annoying as all hell to fight
So-called "hardcore gamers" when no checkpoint:
Such a nice game, but very rage inducing sometimes, then u get some new weapons and you melt everything in sight. Finished the game in just about 25 hours from release. I’m 34 years old
yeah this is the old school kind of game with the modern touch
It's so funny how people have different experiences in fromsoft games. Like Zanny did so much better against the sea spider than me, yet I've never had a problem with warrant officer.
Zannys neighbors probably think he's is schizophrenic😂
Watching him try this again and again without using vertical missiles is so fucking funny to me
One must imagine zanny happy
Camus reference!
I feel this man… this game has brought me this close to break my controller and the TV
Not gonna lie, that Zanny rage was beautiful.
Hope he plays For Honor again.
It may sound bad, but Zanny in pain is magical.
Dies twice in a Fromsoft game: "I don't have the mental fortitude to keep going"
"I FIRST TRIED MIDIR", screams Zandril.
The pressure for people expecting a souls game made FromSoft put a lot of meme enemies in the game, or more specifically, a lot of meme enemies in one spot 😅
As soon as I saw the thumbnail i was like "ah... he's found the mission"
Me who beat the game through ng++ using only a lightweight reverse joint build: it's alright buddy, just remember it gets worse
I literally made an AC named "Fuck the PCA squad" because I hated that mission so much
Nah man breaking shit for getting mad at a game is wild, take care zanny, love your content
Didn’t know what AC was before Zanny’s video! Since then I’ve bought it and it’s a blast.
This gameplay hurts. It's so bad. Zanny doesn't learn anything from his losses
This gameplay have "game journalist" all over it. Call a build issue, call a skill issue... The true is: it's a everything issue.
I didnt realize it didnt have a checkpoint, I've always done it first try
I feel Zanny's pain. I, too, struggled with this mission. Why is there not a checkpoint between the gank mini bosses and the main boss?
7:02 Zanny starting to sound like my Dad in his arguments
Day 66 of asking Zanny to do an uncharted series:
Cannot agree more
He’s gotta do a series. They’re so good!
The game is amazing he gotta
Ew
The start of the villain arc
You had the answer at the beginning. The Zimmerman. Dual x10 shoulder missiles, Zimmerman and beam saber is how I beat the game with a Sazabi looking AC.
Ok, but did you beat Laurence?
Ah taste of old gen ac mission formats. 👌
All hail balam!! 🫡
This mission actually pays homage to the old Armored Core games where all missions don't have any checkpoints.
Big sad, one of the easiest missions in the campaign gave him this much trouble. Hopefully he tweaks his builds since those were what was causing the artificial difficulty spike lol
He didn't. He only used that heavy tetrapod and the light mech when he honestly should've gone for a medium mech build or reverse joint
yea and there is another boss at the beggining if you want to do log hunt
pretty harsh mission
once a balam always a balam am i right 🫡
It broke my heart killing G6 red (the guy that speaks for balam)
wow spoiled it smh 🙂@@maxwelvanek5603
I ran double songbirds on my shoulders to stagger fast, and duel gattlings for that big boi damage. He's very resistant to explosive damage
my guy this mission got me to stop playing AC6 for 3 days. actual hard mission with the loadout you given at this point
Remember this is a game that encourages you to try multiple builds, there is a build that will stomp every boss in this game, you just gotta either look it up or experiment with your build until you get it just right.
he could always fight the cataphract lmao
Whenever you got stuck at some boss, dual gatling and dual songbirds with tank leg is the perfect build
1:34 Transformer size, or a bit bigger. A car goes up to your heel.
