Trail Fairy Plan was used in the EWS race and in the wet cost Richie Rude the win when he crashed on it . It does ride ok in the wet since the Tweedlove guys did some work on it. There is a new trail very close to Fairy Liquid which is much better. Ewok Wall to Ponduro is my favorite trail at GT.
Not a big trail centre fan but that trails looked more natural and interesting, I need to go back there not been in a very long time. Great we film as always 👍
Thanks I'm looking into a e bike a trek or a specialised I won't be climbing mountains like yourself with it but will be enjoying the Yorkshire dales where I usually go hiking. Watched all your uploads scenery and views seriously breathtakingly beautiful. Your lucky to do what you do and thanks for sharing.
I'm pretty late for your game but I do want to say you've got some core knards on ye, McTrail! I'm in California Sierra Nevada under a good blanket of snow but watching your mud dabbing is truly inspiring. Stay safe and keep going, peace out!
@@McTrailRider Oh right, Spain! I watched two episodes in Spain and it's dry and rocky and steep - good stuff. Such honest riding and quality camerawork. Thank you for showing us Scotland, though. I had a good time in Scotland a few years back, and got a feel for it. You'll help make it a better trail biking environment with time. Take care and only fall a little bit. Sierrasurfer
U gotta be on the ball riding those ruts they must be treacherous after heavy rain. Excellent video and some very nice skills riding those tight sections. Cheers
Yesterday I had nasty crash on ponduro. Spend four and half hours in a&e in hospital. End up with three stitches on my wrist, bruised legs and elbows. But still it was a great day 🤣👍🏻
I'm riding since over a year in Glentress - only live 25mls away Only did twice the unmarked black ones - the one starting at the mast - it broke my rear derailleur; somewhere it got pushed into the spokes - rear wheel needed trueing again and a new derailleur. I went down another black one; I think you did it before the Ewok Village/wall - that was pure torture and no fun at all. atm I try to get confident with my jumps and plan to do Fort William's Tom-Chief - plan to spend a weekend up there but probably takin 2 days off and doing it during the week would be a better idea as on the weekends it will be busy as hell.
I know you’re thinking of going to Europe ! When you go head for Morzine first ! It is the combination of all that is great about mountain biking!! I’ll be your trail guide ! Off piste had been savage ! Videos when I get back👍
Hi mate, did the off piste section at the mast today, how did you get back up to the mast again,? We ended up pushing up Zoro as didn’t wasn’t to do the full climb again
Gnarly. I think the brake noise is ok as it gives us mere mortals an idea of how to ride it. On the brakes. Some people may think it’s not right keeping on the brakes so the noise here indicates it’s the way to do it 👍 I’d still fall off though 😂
Now this is a bit more like it, The guy at work who's given up Mountain Biking has ridden those trails and said they are good fun, I'll need to take a trip back at some point, Hopefully with the guy from work I'm trying to get him back on his bike again
Love watching your videos. Im new to trail riding so like to pick up some hints and tips. How long does the battery last on your levo?? Many thanks keep up the awesome videos
Yo Andy, I am no GT expert but pretty sure the first trail off the mast is called B-Side and the one before Broon Troot is called Hush Hush! These could just be there strava names though... Next time you are on your way up or down the M90 I'd suggest jumping off at Benarty Hill just below Kinross. its only 10 mins off motorway. We've got 3ish quality trails u can get them done in roughly an hour. Great videos pal👍
Thanks for reply. If you ever need a riding buddy or 2. me and my brother would be up for a e bike day with you somewere that be awsome .want to get out bit further but don't want to get lost .😆
depends on your skill level. there is plenty of trails to do for all abilities so long as you can find them. I'd probably make my own route like what Andrew did in this video. use trail forks to find routes other people have done and copy them. If you are unsure how to then have a look at mine or BKXC's video of how to use trail forks to plan a ride (appologies for promoting my channel in your comments Andrew lol). There is however so much in the tweed valley I'd probably not go to glentress.
MTB Scotland yeah haha I’ve done pretty much everything you’ve said already. I don’t have that much time only two days so i think I’ll do glentress the one das and Innerleithen the other
McTrail Rider awesome. No I understand that. It’s more of a chance to cycle back if the battery goes flat. I hear some are a nightmare to pedal. That’s cool I’ll take a look. Are you going Ard Rock next month? I’ll be looking at the ebikes there. Cheers👍
On really steep trails when your brakes get really hot it's kind of unavoidable to have some brake noise. With that said, that was possibly the most horrible wailing I've ever heard haha. I'm used to angry turkeys, but that sounded like hell itself 😊
For us ugly Americans, when you are talking on the bike..."Do yo understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?" nope.....can't understand a thing. Great video though!

Awesome footage, commentary really adds to it , going this year for a few weeks to Scotland. Need to try these ,well done ✅ .
Mctrail Rider - We are currently In Glentress, your videos have been a great help, carry on the great work!! Cheers

Can you make a video about your bikes and the types of rides you take them on? Also, can you tell us about the equipment you take on long rides?
Grate stuff love natural trails in the woods buddy looks like fun and hope the missus had fun the track she went ;0) thumbs up buddy
True buddy ;0)

Great video, brings back good memories.
the steepness and flow of that trail made me want to go right now. Monday 22h41m
Sure I've been down that first Trail on me Arse!!
as always excellent, thanks...

...wicked stuff, same problem here though, dry trails makes it slippy...you rode that like a boss!..
Ponduro looks cracking. Definitely my go to route back to the car!
Great way to finish the day 👍

All’s well that ends well I suppose Adam😜
Haha, recently went on an off piste ride in Wales and guess what, it started with a mast, so obviously it was great! ;)
Had no idea those trails were there, have to get back soon.
Great video as always! On the road in my van! Finally loving it! Just working out the kinks!
Definitely! Loving this life!
Don’t think I’ve ever seen B-side so dry before! You’ll have to do a video in the winter slop for comparison ha.
Another awesome edit dude, I have been to GT many times and still never ridden off piste. I am shit though so that may play a part.
Tht's my excuse for not doing them, that and I have only been riding for 16 months and being old as fuck :-)
muy buen video! i wolud like to see some moments of you with an outside camara. a drop or jump or just how you gon in a corner etc. or just practicing

Your break make noise like a beast in the forest
GT Blacks and off piste is my favourite! when you coming to golfie!?
Amazing vid mate 😎👍😎👍
Nice like it, when you coming to England dude like to see you in the lake district 👊👍

Good point re the brakes. I drag the rear brake quite a bit when things get steeper and more technical.
@@McTrailRider mate I’m making my way through your vids. I’m hooked. I wish I was 20 ( 🧐) years younger maybe 30 years. 😝
Glad you’re enjoying the videos Andy 👍

Five year plan is the proper Trailfairy name, they built it. Hush-hush was the name used for EWS.
Nice trails!
Great trails & video a good workout that one, do you feel any difference between the Pike & Yari forks
McTrail Rider oh sorry I thought your ebiike had a Yari fork, thanks for replying 👍
Wauw looks great ! Are these trails still hidden ?
Thanks, end of the year we might have a go 🙂
It seems like Glentree has so much to explore!
One day it’s not enough to ride all ;)
hi Andrew what ebiike are you riding?
The official black route is at GT is pretty trash in my opinion but the off-piste stuff is great fun
Yeah, the black route is more of an xc loop than anything else.
Very dry trails. never done plan B in the dry - its very interesting when its just mud all the way down.
I was out of my depth when it was sodden
Hi can you recommend anywhere thats got really good flow .not glentress just Scotland in general
Outside of our trail centres, we don’t have much in the way of flow trails to be honest.
Thanks for reply. If you ever need a riding buddy or 2. me and my brother would be up for a e bike day with you somewere that be awsome .want to get out bit further but don't want to get lost .😆
So if you only had one day at glentress would you do the entire red route or the entire black? Aka which is more fun.
McTrail Rider hmm might just have to do both over two days haha. I week left to go until I go and you’re hyping me up
McTrail Rider definitely will be doing them too

I'd recommend cademuir hill as well as the climbs are not big like inners (unless you get an uplift). It all depends what you tend to ride.
That's some nice brutal stuff there man! No Evil this time?
I C. Great riding and dito video's, keep it up dude!
Great run. Does the ebike handle well on these trails? Cheers. 👍
Can you give instructions on how to find that one
Damn those brakes are rough!
Cool video!
I've bin riding at GT for ages and never bin down some off them
@@McTrailRider Def will I'll yours your vids to find them
Have a good and safe time in Europe next month man looking forward to seeing the vids
@@McTrailRider I would say so man I would love to go mtbing in Europe at some point. Just can't till the wee man is older
Do you ride with tubes or tubeless on your e bike
excellent , thanks
What ebike you got Andrew? I’m thinking of getting one possibly next year.
McTrail Rider Thanks I’ll take a look. Is it still easy to pedal on a flat battery? I’ve heard some are difficult to pedal when flat.
McTrail Rider awesome. No I understand that. It’s more of a chance to cycle back if the battery goes flat. I hear some are a nightmare to pedal.

McTrail Rider Cool mate. 👍
Those squeaky brakes had me worried that a truck was about to plow into you!
Ruh roh, they put the dogs on ya’ for riding off the back side 😲
NUTS.... awesome but nuts!..lol
I think you need a louder hub, mate.
McTrail Rider I can only hear it 90% of the time
Nice! B carefull! I just broke my shoulder and wrecked the rim on my frontwheel.
McTrail Rider cheers mate! Have fun
Cracking!
sounds like a pack of bloodhounds chasing you! :D
I actually didn't mind the brake sound because it showed me how and when an experienced rider brakes.
Sort them bloody bastard brakes out lad!
Sounds absolutely terrible...Haha
