Yes❤ definitely this performance is on Phantom Singer All Stars in 2021. Such a brilliant interpretation of a favourite. This is who Forestella is. They take well-loved songs, and pay homage to the original but also make it their own with genius rearrangements and twists. They do this across all genres.
This group was born on a South Korean JTBC tv show in 2017 …PHANTOM SINGER 2 which was looking to create crossover quartets. They won the 2nd season. Then they performed this interpretation on Phantom Singer ALL STARS, which was a friendly competition between the winners and runners up of Seasons 1-3 in 2021. The format is to compete in rounds of solos, duets, trios and finally quartets. So contestants are presented with a theme each episode that they have to interpret and present and that includes the staging and production and arranging. I believe in this episode the theme was to show a performance that best represents who you are as a quartet. Happy to be corrected if I am wrong. I think they all showed some of their strengths here.
FUN FACTS: This quartet consists of 2 fully trained opera singers, a chemical engineer with no formal music education but who is a self-trained tenor soprano and lastly the baritone tenor who is an active musical theatre performer. The tenor soprano and baritone-tenor are the ones in the middle at the end. Forestella is the most popular and successful crossover group with the widest range of genres that it skilfully masters with each unique interpretation. They refuse to be confined to one particular genre and are therefore by definition are adventurous, daring and experimental at times when it comes to delivering the unexpected. They sing in English, French, Italian, Russian, Latin, Spanish, Zulu and of course Korean.
Who can beat this? They interpreted the song so beautifully and gave it a modern touch . Jim Croce would have been so happy. He seemed like a person who would appreciate and encourage talent from all parts of the world.
Getting to know forestella and their music has been the best experience of my life. 💕 💕 to the most hardworking and talented group I know. Forestella, you deserve to be known all around the world. Thank you for existing in my time. ❤

Their Bad Romance is an example of how to give a performance and make a song your own. Their originals are equally good such as their trilogy of Save Our Lives, Utopia, and White Night.

Finally Forestella! Kings of harmony! This is a show Immortal Songs and Forestella holds the unique record of most consecutive wins on the King of Kings special in the show's history, with 6 overall wins. They also had 25 consecutive matches with no losses in their 1st selection round. Forestella is certainly not a boy band, they are a crossover quartet made up of university-educated musicians. If you love Dimash, then you should definitely check out more of Forestella, both their anthological covers and originals. My suggestions for covers are certainly Bohemian Rhapsody, Bad Romance, Je suis malade and Despacito, and from the originals Utopia and White Nights.

In response to your questions, Forestella is still going strong and just released this week a new rock song STUCK IN THE MAZE with a m/v by BJJ MUSIC, song written by BUTTERFLY. They also have another performance on Immortal Songs Special Episode: Kim Soo-Cheul and NEW FRIENDS. …he’s a legendary guitarist, composer, conductor etc and they were invited as one of the guests he’d not met or played with before. They performed a rearranged Hijo de La Luna because the bass singer is doing his military service and they also did THE SHOW MUST GO ON by Queen. 2 completely different genres. The tenor soprano Kang HyungHo is their vocal arranger and producer and the baritone tenor/musical actor Bae Doohoon does staging etc …all in all its really a democratic team effort and they collaborate with the shows’ musical directors etc.Lastly in response to your closing comments,... This song was written after Croce’s wife announced they were to have their first child but sadly😢, he never got to meet his first born due to his untimely death a few short months later in a plane crash and he also never got to see how successful this song became.

Wonderful to hear you say American shows chop up performances. "The World's Best" did that in America with Dimash, and destroyed his performances. Dimash Dears won't watch that show or Reactions to it. Chinese and S Korean shows give artists room to breathe and we get spectacular performances as a result.
I'd recommend watching Hua Chenyu on Singer 2020 singing his "Jackdaw Boy". He only signed up last minute, flew in, did a quick run through rehearsal, and... performed in his travel clothes (no time to change). There are two points you think it's finished and... it picks up again. And Kudos to "Hua Hua" and the lighting Engineer for ad libbing light play. 😲 You may not get English Subs, and you'll need to out a filter, but.. ABSOLUTELY worth seeing, of only in your own time. Think Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael wrapped in one person.
I want to love this but the one line spoils it for me ..the 'enough time' line which has one too many syllables to scan properly and hurts my ears. I know, it's just me ! No fault in their performance though-I love Forestella.
Great voices, but not my taste.
