There is some misinformation you are giving in the video. That is you cannot apply for an emergency request before 60 days of your class start date. And you dont need to pay the sevis fee for the emergency request. I collect all this information by emailing them about the misconception you are telling in this video.

Hi Yash, you mentioned we need to have at least one appointment booked to raise emergency Visa request..does that mean it is enough to have just ofc or just consular appointment scheduled? Is it possible to schedule just one in the first place?

My request got denied. I did the application just outside the 60 days for the F1 . I understand I can't apply again in the course of visa application.

I got a date two days before my course start date and 8 days after the the flight, i panicked for 20 mins, then realised i can just change the embassy.
Although this option can be heavy on the pocket, even if you have an interview waiver

@@snehakm9311 maximum students have chosen business option, though I went for the medical emergency as I didn’t notice it. But students have got approval with both the options.
You may go for the business option.
@@emranulchowdhury5508 I do not see the emergency request option itself. The only two options are cancel appointment and reschedule appointment

I am not sure why the option is not available in your account. I have also found similar issue like yours happens to others as well. You can contact the us embassy regarding the matter.

Hello dear ,first i want to say thank you for your help full video ,....can i expedited my f1 visa if the date is less than 60 days from the starting date in my i -20 my program stars in April 20 and know the day is march 3 and there is ony 47 days so can i expedited my f1 visa interview and tentative date of arrival needs to be same as intended date filled in ds 160 ? Quick one - when you speak about the location of the appointment in minute 1.20, are you referring to the VAC appointment or the Consular appointment?
My “centre” is Hyderabad, but I’ve my VAC appointment is booked in Mumbai and my consular appointment is booked in Hyderabad.
I know this isn’t ideal, but it would be helpful to sooth some nerves listening to your experience.
Another question - do you know who I can reach out to if I haven’t heard back about my EA decision yet? It’s been 4 days and I haven’t heard back from the consulate yet.

The portal for visa appointments has been changed now. I am currently trying to schedule an OFC appointment in the New Delhi office. But it is displaying 'no slots available'. To book an emergency appointment, do I have to schedule an OFC appointment first in the nearest office as you mentioned in the video? Only then, I can apply for an emergency appointment request in the new portal.
And what are the chances of the rejection of the application if I go through the OFC and consular appointment because dates are not available in New Delhi office.

@@peterfustina441 surely I did. But they said the reviews are done on a first come first serve basis, and hence they couldn't help me. It's been 6 days now, 7th on running and I've yet to hear back from the embassy and my case is still stuck in review.
