I ran across your video while looking for Mopar cold air intake cleaner kit for my 2016 ram hemi engine. I don’t know if you were aware that they actually made and had a cleaning kit for it. It contain 1 spray bottle of cleaning solution and another spray bottle of a blueish oil to spray on after cleaning. I had hell finding another kit about 4 years ago cause Mopar discontinued it. But looking at your video I see that they are still selling the same filter I have after seeing your video. I have the same filter blue and shape just like yours and is made of some kind material but it seems not to be paper. In my search for this discontinue kit. One RUclips recommended for me to use that K & N cleaning it. But I didn’t take his advice because it clearly states. It’s for their paper air filter. So thanks for the video it gives me some relief that when I run out of this last of this discontinue Mopar kit. I can just follow your simple instructions. THANKS AGAIN! Your video was very helpful and useful.
Thanks Man doing mine right now thanks to your video! I like staying with what the manufacturers suggest, so thanks for showing the right way to do things. ☮️
I should be getting my Shaker replacement filter today. I recommend getting an extra filter so you don't have to wait for it to dry. You'll always have a clean/dry filter ready to install. We don't want to waste a minute of Mopar drive time!
I soaked my Mopar filter in water then sprayed it with K&N filter cleaner . Let it sit like 2 minutes and started rinsing it off with my kitchen sink spray hose … did and amazing job, it’s bright blue again and looks structurally the same. I let it dry in the shade … UV might not be good for the black plastic , rubber and filter media.
@@Cbase125 Why is that? When you dunk the filter in the water, the water fills the inside, and when you lift it out, the water flows from inside to outside. Why would washing it with a hose be any different? Maybe the amount of pressure?
Would have loved a before and after pic but otherwise great vid! I got the blue filter too with the T/A kit I got for mine. Found you through Instagram, pretty sure we're in the same area. I'm in fake Aubrey.
The microns of these dry filters are so much smaller than the K&N, any oil will clog it and hurt flow. On a K&N, which allows larger particulars to flow, absolutely needs oil or the same size debris will get through and can and will damage your engine. Not sure why anyone would think to oil the Mopar filter. Wow, no common sense.
Perfect video, exactly the info I needed

Where do you get a replacement filter without having to buy a whole cold air intake kit??
I was wondering how to service these filters, thanks much!

Great video thanks for doing it. Any reason why using a clean water bucket instead of a water hose spraying gently from the inside of the filter?
Can’t put water through the inside. A big no no for the mopar cold intake.

@@leroybrown9874 flow rate difference and resulting difference in hydrostatic pressure on the filter materials/support structure
thanks man! real nice job no bs worked like a charm
Was the bucket method enough to get the debris out of the fins? Also did you see a l difference in the color of the filter when it was done?
pleats
Detergent as in dishsoap?
Thanks again for the video
What type of soap did you use? Thx
What size is the inlet on the cone filter??
Thank you.

Same here with the fake Aubrey. My address comes up as Providence Village in every thing.
@@OffbeatMotors I've gotten PV once. I'm in Savannah so that works as the city name for me usually, but sometimes I'm forced to use Aubrey.
Pro tip buy a spare so while 1 is drying you always have 1 ready to go
