You’re absolutely right. No matter who wears the cape, Christopher Reeve will always be Superman. In that age, in this age, and in the ages to come FOREVER ❤
Reeve wasn't just the iconic Superman, his distinct portrayal of Clark Kent made it believable that he could be unrecognized as a superhero by those around him. I would say that there are other films that are excellent adaptations of the comics. Captain America The First Avenger, Raimi's Spider-Man, The Avengers, even Matt Reeve's Batman I felt drew from Hush in a way that Batman actually was a detective. But even if you look at a film like Raimi's Spider-Man? It's very clear that it took heavy inspiration from Richard Donner's Superman. Remember when Peter is climbing up the wall, jumping over the buildings? Or when he tears his shirt open? You get the sense that Raimi's Spider-Man wears Superman's influence on it's sleeve. Wonder Woman too I feel drew influence from Spider-Man and in turn from Superman.
