I've the HP Racing Midlayer insulated and I wear it from late spring to autumn. It's practical, comfortable, has 4 useful pockets, lightweight lifaloft insulation & looks great. Good value for how much use it gets.

I think the HH dinghy smock top is the way to go for most Laser sailing conditions and combined with the HH dinghy wet suit. I have the Skagen too and its great for keelboat sailing in nasty weather or on land during heavy rain.

I found HH tech not that breathable, but, I love my crew jacket anyway. It's hella waterproof

Let me start by saying that I love Warner and his videos, great stuff. However, the summary of this one is: "expensive, free stuff is great". hahaha I have HH least expensive dinghy smock, works well for me. sailing season coming to an end for me here on LI, looking forward to more flying and masters ski racing (went to Dodge boots last year, one day, awesome, then everything shut down).

patrick771 Not the one that Jon is wearing, but definitely the HP racing jacket (my favorite). However, no hood would be a bad call if your hiking so I’d see if they sell that with a hood. Not sure if they still do. 👊👊
