    I love this. Easy and so many options. Red and green for Christmas, pastels for spring and eggs and a bunny for Easter. Easy to follow instructions. 😀👍

    This would be a perfect package to gift something small to somebody. Put a big button on the main body and have your hook close it up. Lovely!

      That is a brilliant idea. I was just thinking about a reusable gift bag kind of pattern to make now and have ready for the holidays.

    Super simple and very well explained! Thanks for the great pattern, I am very happy with my result! (Even if it is a bit wonky due to my own incompetence, the pattern is forgiving enough that you don't notice!)

      That is great. You can mix up the stitches used. As long as you end up with a square the technique will work.

    "Across", not "acrosst" / "acrossed". 😂 Don't take it personally, it must be a bad habit for many, because I know 3 other crochet youtubers that say the same! Drives me 🦇.
    This pattern is SO cute!! I made it in one sitting! 💕 Thank you for taking the time to make videos.

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад

      I tried hard not to include the 't'. But if the choice is to post a video with me saying 'acrost' or re-voicing the whole video, then I am going to post it. But I am aware of my tendency to add a t to the end.

    Hi LeAnn,made this & it's adorable 🥰 have you made any using other stitches 😊

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  2 года назад +1

      I haven't tried it with any other stitch, but you can use any stitch and just make a square and follow the assembly instructions to make it. You can also make a much larger square to make a larger pocket. I think it could be great for organization.

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад

      You gauge can throw things off. Just work the pattern until you have a square then jump to the finishing and sewing instructions.

    If i make this with acrylic yarn will it hold ?😊

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад

      Acrylic yarn will stretch more. It might still hold something light but the top portion will stretch out to be longer.

    • @magic.weaver
      @magic.weaver Год назад

      @@WindingRoadCrochet yeah the stretching will be the issue

    Hi so I made this but the plant leans forward and tips for keeping it up straight? TIA

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад +1

      Maybe use a piece of string to secure the top. You can use your crochet hook to pull the string through the basket and make a knot on the back. Then if you change out the plant you can just clip the string.

    I love this design,But...I can't figure out why I'm having so much trouble with curling!?!? I have tried it with 5 different yarns and 3 different hooks, and that I've lost count how many times I've frogged each different yarn !! Ughhhhhh. I'm being consistent with my grip on the yarn when it comes to tightness/ looseness of stitches. ( I'm tired and drawing a blank on the ' term ' 😔) I'm determined... but losing my mind. Doesn't seem like any other commenters had any issues so I know it must be me. I am going mad trying to figure it out though. If anyone has any thoughts please reply. Thank you 😊

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  2 года назад

      Hi, I think the word you are looking for is tension. if you are having issues curling, then I would use the same yarn but a hook that is one size larger or you can stick with what you have and try to crochet looser.
      Some people find it easier to crochet looser and others prefer to move up a hook size. The result is the same. A larger hook gives you a looser stitch.

    How many chains do I need to make a bigger hanging basket that can hold yarn?

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад +1

      You can try doubling the starting chain. Your basket width will be approximately half the width of the square you make.

    Can I use a cotton blend?

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  Год назад

      Yes. Cotton just helps it from stretching out too much. But that also depends on what you plan to put in it.

  • @briannayangabdi1263

    how to make bigger size?

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  2 года назад +1

      You just want to make a larger square. So start with a longer chain and then work extra rows to make it into a square.
