    Sir ek chota sa doubt hei. U told reactive power is responsible for flux production in the field winding of machines. But in dc supply there is no reactive power right and the field winding of machines is energized with dc supply to create flux and only when it is rotated flux linkage is alternating in nature. Then for dc supply in the field, how the reactive power is produced

    • @manjunathbs7746
      @manjunathbs7746 5 лет назад

      Every current carrying conductor there will be magnetic flux around it.

    • @harshsharma5768
      @harshsharma5768 5 лет назад +3

      Same my doubt also. Field flux is static due to dc source and hence no reactive power is needed to produce it. Also dc source cannot provide reactive power either. Now sir is telling tht in overexcitation some part of reactive power is used for flux and some is delivered to load. How is this possible as flux is being produced by some other dc source. Please answer sir.

    • @Yagnik_Jadav
      @Yagnik_Jadav 5 лет назад

      but we have provide only dc supply for producing a current and rotor is already rotating so that rotating flux will be produced....

    Sir but in synchronous machine we use dc source for excitation and to createflux, and we know in DC there is no reactive power so from where this reactive power comes

    • @sk-yf5gx
      @sk-yf5gx 5 лет назад +2

      If u ask a question that from where this reactive power come in ac supply then it will be more good but ur doubt is from where this reactive power come in load or generator when we give dc?
      Explanation... See u r correct that in DC there is no reactive power this means u know there is reactive power in AC ok.
      When DC supply given to rotor so rotor sets time invarying flux but if it starts rotating then the voltage and current in stator we get due to induced emf is time varying due to faraday law of emi and this law is applicable where there is magnetic flux and that flux come from winding which is excited by DC source in rotor. So ac supply is given to load which carries reactive power. Now from where it came in ac supply it came in ac supply due to phase difference if u load a generator with resistive load then there is no need of reactive power but due to lagging or leading load phase difference is created which makes load less utilization of active power and that reaming power is reactive power where voltage and current are not in phase.
      So if generator creates 500va power(assume) then if 470 watt is utilize now reaming one is reactive power and it is a fictious concept that's why it is imaginary and we denote it as imaginary

    Sir, due to a Voltage source, current is flowed. So what's the need of current source. And also what's the difference between their place of application, PLEASE ELABORATE.
    I actuall can't figure out the existence of current source. As if it's current source, then where the term voltage, and if Voltage ain't there, how current is flowing as we all know CURRENT IS FLOWED DUE TO VOLTAGE IN A CIRCUIT. IF VOLTAGE IS A PRESSURE, THEN CURRENT IS IT'S FLOW........so?
