Sir ji agar reactive power ki wajah se flux produce hota hai to Dc macine me to reactive power hoti hi nahi hai phir waha flux kaise produce hota hai. Plz answer me
Hi Sohail Sir, I am power industry professional and currently working for US projects. I haven't seen any teacher in India till now with such conceptual & ease of deliver knowledge. Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge wit us.
Reactive power concept was not clear to me till now. I always used to get confused. But after watching ur lectures sir, it really cleared all my doubts and helped me understand the subject in a better way. Thank you sir!!
sir mind blowing.........aap logo ka lecture is lie khas han...kyonki aap log samjhane k lie practical example de rahe hon..isilie crystal clear ho raha han........thanku u sir...thanku vary much.
The best explanation of Concept of Reactive Power.I have the lower level in electrical engineering, but I found myself very much easy in this chapter explained by you.Thank you Sohail Ansari sir.🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much sir you have almost cleared all my concept being an electrical Engineer but i have a question what if we supply more reactive than the need of the system. what would be the result of it and if a transformer doesn not have enough current can we add capacitor bank having more available ampare than transformer have ??? Kindly answer. ill be grateful
I am working in Electrical utilities in Delhi and i want to learn power so it’s very helpful for me thnks I will continue.... learn About active and reactive power
Sir aap ke class se concept samajh mein aaya. Aap kaa online class se hum jaise remote location ke student ko bhi fayda ho raha hai. Aap ko koti koti pranaaam. 🙏🙏 Sir, ek doubt hai, hume toh generator ka excitation DC mein dete hain, aur DC mein reactive power kaise generate ho sakta hai?
Nice explain sir ji...hm kitne bar try kiye reactive power smajhne k liye book & teacher se v bt clear nhi ho paya tha.. aaj jakr concept pta chla and yaad v ho gya kn deliver and kn absorbe karega...thank you so much...
Great, I did learn two new points regarding from Load ,here have one question if Power plant is working on ILAND MODE then from where we will take reactive for our Generator....?
Sir ek chota sa doubt hei. U told reactive power is responsible for flux production in the field winding of machines. But in dc supply there is no reactive power right and the field winding of machines is energized with dc supply to create flux and only when it is rotated flux linkage is alternating in nature. Then for dc supply in the field, how the reactive power is produced
Same my doubt also. Field flux is static due to dc source and hence no reactive power is needed to produce it. Also dc source cannot provide reactive power either. Now sir is telling tht in overexcitation some part of reactive power is used for flux and some is delivered to load. How is this possible as flux is being produced by some other dc source. Please answer sir.
Bro I think in synchronous generator dc supply is usually given with the help of rectifier which also consist of transformer and transformer need reactive power for magnetic field production
Hi sir, Sir first God bless you, Sir it's amezing teaching for us because it's totally best concept but don't teach best in our life so it's best teach think us. Keep going sir God bless you 🙏🙌
Sir but in synchronous machine we use dc source for excitation and to createflux, and we know in DC there is no reactive power so from where this reactive power comes
If u ask a question that from where this reactive power come in ac supply then it will be more good but ur doubt is from where this reactive power come in load or generator when we give dc? Explanation... See u r correct that in DC there is no reactive power this means u know there is reactive power in AC ok. When DC supply given to rotor so rotor sets time invarying flux but if it starts rotating then the voltage and current in stator we get due to induced emf is time varying due to faraday law of emi and this law is applicable where there is magnetic flux and that flux come from winding which is excited by DC source in rotor. So ac supply is given to load which carries reactive power. Now from where it came in ac supply it came in ac supply due to phase difference if u load a generator with resistive load then there is no need of reactive power but due to lagging or leading load phase difference is created which makes load less utilization of active power and that reaming power is reactive power where voltage and current are not in phase. So if generator creates 500va power(assume) then if 470 watt is utilize now reaming one is reactive power and it is a fictious concept that's why it is imaginary and we denote it as imaginary
@@piyushjoshi1939 in capacitor there is no concept of magnetic field then why did capacitive load have reactive power concept.dont say flux is lost here due to electrostatic energy storing like in inductor electromagnetic .energy storing.....According to u ......... but I think magnetic flux does not have anything related to electrostatic energy
Great interactive lecture sir. Also studied power electronics lecture. Well this made me not to remember but indeed understanding concepts with wide 3 min derivation for any topics. Thanks sir.
Really good sir And starting everything going good but when motor at load then much more complicated for me but by the way really help it Thank you sir 🙏
Sir, due to a Voltage source, current is flowed. So what's the need of current source. And also what's the difference between their place of application, PLEASE ELABORATE. I actuall can't figure out the existence of current source. As if it's current source, then where the term voltage, and if Voltage ain't there, how current is flowing as we all know CURRENT IS FLOWED DUE TO VOLTAGE IN A CIRCUIT. IF VOLTAGE IS A PRESSURE, THEN CURRENT IS IT'S FLOW........so?
thank you very much sir for this nice video. I clearly absorbed the concepts what you have delivered to us. thank you again for this over-excitation, so that we could get the sufficient Reactive power .
Here the point to be noted that if we increase the field current reactive power will be more but we know that in AC only reactive power exist but in Alternator i have seen excitation is DC as rotation rectifier is fitted in Rotor and initial voltage is generated by Residual Magnetism .....how DC can produce reactive power sir kindly reply
conclusion: Source Q>0, deliver Q (and this Q is lagging Q), Load Q>0, absorb Q (and this Q is lagging Q). i.e. the general convention we follow is for lagging Q.
Sir thanks so much Ek confusion h sir genretor excitation voltage Dc supply rahegi DC supply ke karan reactive power genrate hoga kya rotor m. Apke anusar dc circuit m kewal active power hoga

At 14.35 when negative half cycle of current has been considered , voltage polarity across inductor shall also be considered reversed while giving explanation ..Shall it be rectified..
Sir this is better understanding about reactive power, but then also I have some doubts.... If generator act as source element, at that time generator can absorb reactive power and deliver active power in unser exitation.
You have explained about reactive power transaction between generator and load . Now my concern is Generator also delivers active power ....how its utilised in plant side.
Dear sir.. The windings on rotor are given dc supply so how inductor is formed for dc supply inductor is short ckt. Then how the concept of Q come in rotor of gen.
Sir when Alternator running parallel with grid and grid pf is leading what is effect of alternator pf.....and why????And how dc excitation produce reactive power....please reply
Reactive power is nothing but the power oscillations in the circuit due to inductors and capacitors present. It is really confusing when we are studying reactive power only with the phasor diagram, I have explained the concept with the help of fundamental waveforms. Also explained why reactive power compensation is necessary, how we can compensate.
Sir please explain for which reactive power i.e lagging or leading better for alternator excitation system and what happened if alternator delivered leading/lagging reactive power.
for excitation we provide dc supply, since dc always supply active power, increasing the excitation means increasing dc voltage how the reactive power will come?

Nice explanation sir , thanks a lot
for excitation we provide dc supply, since dc always supply active power, increasing the excitation means increasing dc voltage how the reactive power will come?
Very good explanation.
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful knowledge!
Thanks a ton
Inductor is on rotor winding , then reactive power will develop on rotor or stator terminal
if one bus A having voltage 100
Both will deliver reactive power, which will be absorbed by transmission line.
Teaching is outstanding
