A Beautiful Fuselage Helicopter, made for First Time Flyer
The Syma S109G is a Plam Size Toy Grade 3-Channels Helicopter, it has a youngest brother in the Syma Apache line. The S109G has a Co-Axial structure which is specially made for first time flyers, thanks for the thick plastic body, it always survive in crash, but we also suggest you get some spare rotor blades or flybars, they are common parts (basically, anything that spins on the rotor head are common spare parts). The Syma S109G is equipped with a 4-in-1 receiver (Gyro, ESC, Mixer, Receiver), allows the heli to move in all directions. This toy helicopter is designed for anyone over 8 years old, flight time is around 5-6 minutes after 25-30 minutes charging. It can fly in 6 directions.

this is an awesome helicopter for beginners... i currently own one and it has taken a serious beating.. i even fell in the sink and still works
@Jon99Man check the s111g, it's built for longer lasting flights and less charge duration. The body is also made for hard crashes and lasts longer.
Thanks OggOrbis. The stabiliser bar looks sound. When inspecting it I noticed the top blades have some movement around the shaft.
I flew a $50 radio shack copter for awhile ,then a friend got this and it is much more controllable , landing and hovering are no problem once you get used to the controls.
turn on your chopper, plug it into the controller with the attached cable found in a compartment in the handle. on the front, select mode and then turn on your controller. inside the chopper is a green light visible from the top, when it stops blinking it is ready
the reciever light is on the front of the copter ,so aim the controller head on at the one you want it to control when starting.
S109G and S107 are almost the same just the difference of outlook. But we're sorry to inform you that both models are discontinued now. S107 is upgraded to S107C:

@jjpl2001email yes it does. It flies everyway but sideways. I haven't got this one yet but it's on the list. I have all the other Symas. Just got the Black Hawk today and the Coast Guard heli. Oh yeah, you can make them go forward faster just by adding a verysmall bit of weight under the nose. Gives it a slightly forward CG. Trade off is a constant forward drift. But it's a heckof a lot faster.
It usually takes 45-60 minutes to fully charge and flies 6-8 minutes per charge. Hope it help, thanks.
Its is great it is not a airhog so ot dosent just spin it actually has perferct controlles and is so durable
Basically yes as long as that battery comes with the same "V" and connector with the original battery.
Well, accurate or not should be depends on your skills not the transmitter. For the range, it should be within 10 x 10 meters area. We think so but really few paper is fine.
Basically, you just need to set it (A/B) on the transmitter only.
How it's not flying? Please make sure you've inputted new batteries with correct direction on the transmitter and the heli is fully charged. Are you able to bind them? Just simply turn on the transmitter and heli, wait a few second and they should bound automatically.

this heli for people that start flying for very first time is absolutely perfect. Flying so stable and its very beautiful. I got mine and learn it to fly in no more than 2 days. Just a question. Can i upgrade the battery with larger mah so, i can fly it faster or maybe more time?

I just ordered that same helicopter.It looks like it flies smooth and has good durability too.I think i'll be happy with that helicopter.How long does it take to fully charge and how long does it fly till it goes dead.

How accurate are the controls? If I want to land in an exact spot. Also, how is the range on it? If I want to operate it from say 20 or 30 feet away would it work? Finally, do you think it is powerful enough to carry a few sheets of paper?

It's sad but the truth is most batteries usually lasts 5-8 minutes. Thus, no. of batteries per flight is suggested. :)

I just bought one of those but freak, I have no luck, it start to lose balance, instead of flaying upword it fly side ways and crash, how can I fix that?
I plan to get this tomorrow but I have 2 questions.
I am a complete and utter nooblet. This will be my first RC copter ever. Now the choice was this or the S107g which I do believe has a metal frame. Should I get that or the this 109 as people say the 109 is stabler and easier to fly.
Also anyway to switch those lights off?
My son's Christmas one lasted for the day , now it flies a foot in the air, the blades clip each other and it goes down like a dying bluebottle. Anyone know why. Many thanks, Mat and Max

ive heard these dont fly as fast or perform as well as the s107 because if the heavy tail is this true?
You can fix that by putting a small weight in the front of the chopper
does it hover without controling it like the syma 107 with cam
