Meat is a few times what we pay so we are still cheap food wise as well as property wise even though it has gotten expensive. We also have a large variety of fresh- less modified food.
My 2 cents worth, Economy is showing baby steps upwards.. The biggest concern is the rising cost of everything. Supermarkets are ripping into the wallets of the man in the street... Month for month, costs are spiraling.. Bets on who is responsible for this!!! Food is the most important traded commodity for everyone. We are being suckered here!!
I always said that I would not buy Jacobs coffee if it is R85 per pot. Now you are lucky if you can get it anywhere below R177 per pot for the same pot. Crazy!!

Pret A Manger!...I'm surprised people have so much disposable income for this eatery. With JD Sports just another sports shop with chinese products. Most of these high street shops are closing in the UK,going online is where its heading. Price of clothing is so expensive here to cover huge overheads, basically the product is cheap from China. They also currently imposing huge taxes on direct importing to you door forcing you to buy overpriced local products.
There is a lady, I believe her name and surname is Magatte Wade. She wants these new smart cities to have different regulations when it comes to business to make it easier to do business in SA. According to her, these legislative changes can't be implemented in already-standing cities. Does that mean that they would attempt these changes in the new city and if it works out start implementing it everywhere or would we have to move to these new cities if we want to do business without endless red tape?

I would have preferred that we become non aligned but we have gone so far by climbing into bed with Russia and China that we have to make a statement of intent to curry some favour with the west. There is no corruption involved and that we get real value for each rand spent. 2. They can be green, pink or blue South Africans for all i care as long as we get the value and the beneficial use of the new infrastructure for many years to come. If these projects are managed and implemented properly it will culminate in a good start to get our economy going again. Lets hope.
