It's brave hey. Cos if you say anything about current players or coaches (who are also probably your friends) you lose access to them in interviews etc. so everyone balances (legitimate) criticism of current players with the need to get access all so that we can get the truth. We need to reward this kind of journalistic bravery with views and likes so that it can continue and be sustainable. This is why marshall is one of the most disliked pundits out there cos he tells the truth even at the cost of his personal and business relationships. I'm going to like this for my part.
You couldn't be more wrong. South Africans don't like John Kirwan because he's the most emotional and unafraid to speak his mind. Marshaly panders to the opposition so he doesn't become unpopular and attacked

Love this new show. Inspired recruitment...particularly Justin Marshall. Clever, eloquent, passionate, and has been there and done it when all other teams truly feared the All Blacks.

So much talent available in the squad- we just need the right balance for the game plan. My thoughts on loosies (changes) are 6. Sittiti, 7. Cane 8. Savea (Finau and Jacobsen/ Blackadder off the bench). The backs are 10. Barrett 11. Caleb Clarke, 14. Talea or Love 15. Jordan (Ruben Love / Talea and DMac on the bench). Remember that we have a very calm and skilled skilled Harry Plummer as well.
Good to hear some truths on NZ and Aus rugby. We are lagging behind where the modern day rugby is going. Justin said it perfectly that the Boks are now being innovative with their gameplay to not be so one dimensional and predictable. Massive improvement required.
@@gc4610 talent is ok , but not to the levels we have had in the past , I think the fact our 20s now get bullied regularly should be a bit of a warning our production line isn’t the advantage it used to be . 11:40. How good to hear the OG talking up current players? There is so much trash talk and criticism and "games gone soft" chat around. Humility from the last generation's greats is wonderful to hear, and not just about the athleticism or speed but skill set and especially the bravery. Nicely said lads.
Very nice lineout knowledge shared thank you. If the boks beat nz 2x they've won the RC with 2 games to spare. @springboks when we host NZ, I think you need to invite Jeremy onto the panel. Highly intelligent commentary and will mix really well with Schalk Burger.
Barrett was good against England because he saw how slow Steward was in backfield. Had England just moved Marcus Smith to 15, Fin Smith to 10 and Sleightholme on sooner, thwy would have had no issue dealing with Beauden and would have won. All Blacks need the 2019 Crusaders spine to compete in the next few years, meaning Jordan goes to 15 and get back Mo'unga and even Leicester Faina'anuku.
Rules need to be applied consistently, even if you don't agree with them. I very much doubt they would be celebrating the referee had that been an Argentinian player that avoided a yellow card. The purpose of the law is to encourage defenders to tackle lower. Not leave it to the moral luck of whether someone gets injured or not.
Kurt-lee Arendse's try he was surrounded by 11 players that just stopped and watched him😂😂😂😂 our bok backline is fire on attack and defense. Marshy let's not for get how good Ox PSDT Ben Jason Dixon and Louw was. Besides Willie the had a blunt of a game the rest was outstanding
Three separate pods with Kiwi's, one similar response ref Springboks. I find it really funny that, finally respect is being paid at a coaching level to Rassie & his coaching team. The reason this has suddenly become permissable, is because now the Boks recruited Tony Brown. He is the architect of all that is good. Rassie was innovating before Brown and will still be doing so after Brown, he had an English Assistant before Brown, Travelled and coached in Ireland, met people he valued along the way networked etc... Tony Brown started 3 tests ago BTW, a 1-1 IRE series result and the walkover vs AUS, Kriel's form was excellent well before Brown and continues as was Kolbe & KLA Not to say Brown won't have had some impact, just to say it is likely to greatly amplified by NZ Comm's. Dogs tend to lick their own balls, not other dogs so much. Nobody blamed Brown for the 2nd Test Loss to Ireland. We see it in the as yet overly hyped RAZOR cure all, and how awful Fozzie was. One's last act was to lose a final with a red card, the others first act was to lose the opening game at home in the RC to ARG, Sure we will give him time better results will come. But the INSTA-EFFECT of hot dog Kiwi coach is grossly oversold. Brown is there, because Rassie the general of Bok affairs, wants to win with Attacking rugby in some situations rather than the traditional offensive defence & counter attack structure or Set Peice dominance alone, again his recognition of development of strategy variation. This is a sample of Kiwi Narcissim, until there is deflected glory on one of them they disrespect the innovators. RSA won back to back RWC's and there was NZ reluctant in their praise, now it flows, clever PR also for Rassie, as he will get more deserved respect for the appointment. But the flip in coverage is collective narcism, by the nation that advocates themselves as the proctector of the soul of rugby even in downturns of their own form. Amusing indeed.
McKenzie has reverted back to playing laterally (whenever he's cramped by flat defensive work)... he needs to be more direct and make better decisions - he needs to be give way for Barrett or Richie M (if only)... Justin is spot on - McKenzie is a lose field player - against tired legs would be the best use of him - I'm still not convinced he's a 10 - but I'm also not sure what his best position is...
