  • It was great shooting with our friend Memo again and once again he did not disappoint with another of his custom builds. This car has been in his family since brand new and has recently undergone the APS/Memo transformation. Definitely different for us because it's more of a luxury/cruiser but giving it a built all Buick big block with close to 600HP is all us...sit back and enjoy the ride!

They didnt make 600 HP but they rode like riding on a cloud, were well maintained by the previous owners because they were older folks and they were easy to work on. Keeping this 600 HP monster Buick powered is so cool also. I stuck with Olds power in an 86 442 instead of going the easy route with a SBC.

This article caught my eye, because I owned a 75 Electra 225 4 door for 15 years. Same midnight blue color with a white vinyl top. Fast, comfortable, and reliable. 1975 was the first year requiring catalytic converters. I replaced it with a "Dutchman", but was told it wouldn't pass inspection in New York, so I put it back in. The only bad thing was: "It never passed a filling station it didn't like"

Back in the early 90’s I put a 455 olds rocket engine in a 77 Buick Electra 225. The car was a blast when it wasn’t broke! I think 2 transmissions twisted 2 driveshafts and blew one rear, not to mention countless tires! Thanks for keeping these land yachts alive!
