Had a 66 CHEVELLE with a 540 Big Block. Loads of fun.
Gorgeous!! Pretty sure he builds to sell?
Only thing missing is a cold air box or seal that sucker up to the cowl
NIce clean and fn fast! So much torque he could run a tall gear and pull a boat.
@@666BIGBLOCK I bet!! Always wanted a 540 or a nice solid roller 565
Can only imagine would that torque would feel like. Probably the only reason Im living is I never had one
I love the 70 Chevelle. I believe that’s the nicest one I’ve seen. Shawn, you have the best job ever! Thanks for sharing really like watching your videos.
Unbelievable sound. Like nothing else.
Total beast Chevelle
Listen to that cam!
@@joewesterman8050 That idle is perfect you could practically hear the valve hit the seat lol. Real good tune on that car.
When the '70 Chevelle SS 396 came out back in the day, it was love at first sight for me. I still have a sketch of that beautiful front end of one I drew back then. The '70 Chevelle SS is truly a work of automotive art.
That 632 is a beast! Boy that makes my 455 hp small block going into my Chevelle seem like nothing.
It’s a big beast for sure
Lol, it makes my 6.4L Hemi stroker small!
632 cubic inches! 😲😲😲
WOW WOW WOW!!!
This SS is awesome!!! 👍👍👍
It’s a definite wow car
Love how he punches it every chance he gets he knows cars are meant to be driven
This whole channel can be nothing but 1970 Chevelles and I would still watch every video. My absolute dream car
Watch Patrick Glen Nickels Barn Finds YT Chanel, if you don’t already! He is a world renowned 69 & 70 Chevelle SS, Copo etc. Authenticator! Basically, all he does is fly around the world/ US to authenticate mostly 70 SS Chevelle’s. Does some 69’s as well! He is a walking parts Manual for 70 Chevelle’s! Knows every factory part number by memory! He’s like rain main on them 70 chelly’s. Slow on the driveway on Sunday, that’s
70 Ls-6, with an AH radiator tag, yellow ce tagged 400 turbo auto trans, with the 70 LS-6 only pre 5th month Made only in kansas squared off racing stripe pin stripes. Lol. Sorry pat, but you’re a bad man when it comes to that stuff. All of what I said was an example and not all correct, as I am a 69 Real Deal Chelly COPO guy mostly and own a 70 Ls6 too but i spent my youth on 69 Chellys and still nowhere near PGN’s caliber.
@@clintxxx2875 I dont care about all the codes marks # match its so overblown/overrated. Interesting but car runs the same no matter what stamps on it.
NOne of the # match cars I sold brought one more dollar than a non matching. Everyone just wanted a deal period.
That is a pretty bad ass Chevelle! I can see how it launches and throws you into the seat when Tony gets on the throttle!! Awesome!!🤘🤘
WOW. ABSOLUTELY GORGIOUS! I am a Ford man and this Chevelle ranks up there with the latest FORD GT40 in BEAUTY!
It’s a beauty for sure and recently got nitrous
You can tell, just by listening to it, it runs like it's out of it's mind.
I absolutely love all motor builds. Raw power is rare.
I agree with some of the viewers, the owner is a nice guy......now the Chevelle is something else, now thàt is pure, pure brutal power....and the fact that the car still has it's.... orginal look n feel, I love it.... Beautiful car.....
Meanest sounding, & most powerful muscle car I’ve heard & seen👏🏼
If I remember correctly, Chevelles aren't sub frame cars. So they wouldn't need sub frame connectors. I'll pretend I didn't hear the question.
Yeah, still learning daily...but now I know 🤷🏼♂️
It would use frame stiffiners or braces
Ya, i caught that also. Gave me a good laugh.
literally just commented on this and the dude is out there doing burnouts on street slicks 😂😂
You are correct no subframe. I UPGRADED to a LS3 pulling a little over 650 Horses I blocked in the frame for support.
Watchin this from the other Side of the sea, i'm sayin: this is pure 'merican stuff as it should be.
These 10 min videos go by so much quicker than others.
I love seeing classics that don't look like something from an episode of pimp my ride.
Hated that show, look etc Lotta those cars were hack jobs! Like trying to put a Charger body on a Hellcat chassis that was a joke. Late models are way wider to start with.
Gorgeous car. I had a 70 Buick GSX Stage 1 Turbo-Hydro from 71 to 75 so I'm partial to GM mid-bodies from this era. Love everything about this car and the way it was built.
I love the colour of the 70 Chevrolet Chevelle i like how simplified the engine Bay it looks stock its a beast
Thank you for one four barrel. People don’t realize how well one good carb can work vs multi carbs along with all the other goods.
Oh does this remind me of the High School parking lot back in the late 70"s . What a great time to be a GEAR HEAD ! Still am to this day. Great Car !
Dude that looked like a hell of a ride. That thing is a beast and sounds incredible👍👍
Tony or the car ?
I love this. Probably one of my favorite restomods I’ve seen
Now that's a muscle car . Big inch big block breathing on its own and a strong rear and trans in the most iconic full framed car gm made . Wouldn't change a thing
It makes me question why in the hell would anyone have a new fandangled Ferrari or Lamborghini over this,....... I mean this car has major HTP, and has got the guts to go with it, drop dead stunning!!
Lamborghini, Ferrari -showin'-off and status.
Prefer his '70 SS, anytime.
The Ferrari or Lamborghini is for an entirely different type of person. Those are designed to be a comprehensive performance race car. This SS can essentially only go fast in a straight line. They are entirely different products that cant be compared.
So they can pick up more men. Never wanted a Ferrari or Spaghetti car
Not into attention
That Chevelle is bad ass that big block engine is just nasty fast as hell
Agreed all the way
This is EXACTLY they way muscle cars should look, sound, and drive. This is the way Chevelles should be. Well done! This is badass
Wow, that was awesome! Cops everywhere but you guys still got to rip. This Chevelle is pure, knuckle dragging muscle. I love it!
*I think I'm in love. Nice going Shawn Wow 632 naturally-aspirated* Put the speakers' UP listing to that sound with Bose System Priceless wow!
So awesome! Especially when Tony nonchalantly says “she launches great…” haaaa love this guy! Bad ass car and the owner matches car for sure!
Fun Fact: Tony got those arms💪from handling the Chevelle. Talk about Hook and Book😎.
Oooh we! Nice!
That is one one the best sounding AND with a killer cam chop Chevelles I have ever heard !
Such a perfect build as is imo
Love this guy. He’s jacked on TRT and so is his car. Love it.
Clean and simple, this is how it’s done!! 💪👍
Nova introduced
Impala introduced
Camaro introduced
Monte Carlo introduced
CHEVELLE LAUNCH !!
The BEST car ever. Perfect in every respect. You gotta show more cars. I love the way you can jump on it with no worries of hurting the car what-so-ever. Well done.
This 70 Chevelle sure has it in the looks department. And I,m fairly sure that Don Tony has the forearms to ✋ handle his creation!
He’s a big boy for sure. Great build
@@AutotopiaLA The car or Tony? lol
Chevelle: Gulp, Glug, Glug, Gulp, Glug........ Rooooaaaaarrrrr!!!!!
Me: Yes Lawd!!! 😆😍
😂😂😂😆😆😆
That baby rocks! No L-series, supercharger, turbos, flared body work, etc., just old school looks, raw, big block muscle power!
Exactly and I love it too
Hey look America ! We used to build cool stuff that lasted !
Truth!
Lasted too long, for the capitalists.
Used to have a license plate frame that said
Real USA Steel
No Junk Jap chit
omg, hearing it run from the start of the Vid , i fell in love with it.
Beautiful beast! Welcome to the disgruntled neighbors club! Mine are a mixed bag of emotions depending on what time I come home or how early I leave.
chevelle doesnt need subframe conecters it has a full frame under it
Yep. Always learning and this was a day of learning for sure
@Steve Miller too much power for cornering, all straight away.
What's a subframe and how can you tell if a car is subframe? What does that even mean? I'm new to cars. The car I'm looking to get is a 79 Camaro and I wanna find out of it's subframe or not
@@EtechnoTechno underneath the car the front and rear rails aren't connected with a center rail they use the floorboards to connect both front/ rear rails. When you build them like that the car flexes and bends especially during cornering but it will flex/bend all the time regardless
@@EtechnoTechno A 79 Camaro is a subframe car.
Just smoked a bowl and hope to have some sanity restored. Shawn delivered.
Now thats a muscle car ! All motor ! Love the exhaust sound ! It crackles!
Owner: "I wanted to keep the engine bay as clean as possible"
Random lime green wire near radiator: "Sup."
LMAO
@@barryallen6293 Hilarious
@@barryallen6293 and calls the wheels "torque thrusters". Any car guy that's seen hundreds of cars for sale, in mags, shows or otherwise with these wheels would not call them that.
Mann I wish somebody would put a 632 in a 96 impala ss or a 95 caprice 9c1 package with a suped up 4l60E transmission with a 4000 rpm stall converter! OH SHITS YEEEAH!!!😁😁😃👍👍
You guys really look like you’re having a good time showing off your 1970 Chevelle that car is so awesome and you really describe all of its features well anybody would be pleased to have it but personally it’s not stock and it has so many parts that are not original I’m not downing your car I’m just saying I’ve owned two1970 Chevelle‘s not with this much horsepower but I truly had magnificent power under the hood. The first one I purchased back in the 80s and sold, the second Chevelle 1970s the one that I still own is a convertible 2 door Malibu all original 350 two Barrel carb 3 speed automatic power glide convertible power top, only a little over 7500 made.My parents bought this car in 1970 and I purchased it shortly afterwards. Not too many people know that I own it so I don’t bring the conversation up too much but since you own a magnificent one as well, I thought you might appreciate my convertible Chevelle as well . Be safe and enjoy the ride these cars are as you well know much sought after and very rare. Boonie,West Virginia, waving as I go bye, with the top down…..,,,,
''I'm gonna bring it up, then i'm gonna let it out''.....lol, i'm dying here......
Funny guy
Proud graduate at Jabroni Driving School.
WHAT A BEAUTY MY FRIEND, YOU NAILED IT!!!!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼😍😍👍🏼
That car is the epitome of an American muscle car from that era. It takes me back to 16-17 and going drag racing (on the street) in Akron in a 69 Chevelle the same color with Cragar wheels. As well done as that car is just makes it that much more cool. Thanks for the ride!
And he’s added nitrous since the shoot!
That exhaust sound is amazing
LOVE that this guy is using that power! No damn trailer queen here! Full throttle over and over, well done! 👍🏻
Rite lol he was rippin that mf unlike these other panzys
What not to love ??? 70 chevlle is hands down my favorite yr for chevelle. Gorgeous blue paint, 5 Spoke wheels. You always have great music. You could throw in some classic rock every once in awhile. My suggestions for cars is more MOPARS. Thanks Shawn
Love from greece
American muscle💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the fathom blue color. Great car.
The fathom blue 70 Chevelle SS is my favorite video I watched it 10 times or more. Awesome thanks love you channel. Ruffian cars rock Galaxy is killer . Shaun always asks questions I would ask. I'm on the edge of my seat. Best car show ever.
Same...this is now the only channel I watch for updates period
I don’t know what to say other than I’m just grinning from ear to ear.
Owner, "I didn't want Chevelle orange"
Host, "Any kind of subframe connectors"
Lol
Full frame baby
@@casey7091
Yup, not a Nova or Camaro, and that's "Chevrolet Orange"
I liked the "torque thruster" comment lol
If you've got enough money, you really don't need to know what you're talking about.
Simply, clean, and powerful. Btw, by looking at the engine, doesn't seem like it's 850 hp! But after hearing it, wow!
The 154 people that gave thumbs down, still don't know how to change a tire.
They are Tesla owners😂😂
Naturally aspirated 850 horses is COMEPLETELY INSANE.
And I love it.
Same for me!!
And to think a NASCAR engine does it with 5.7 liters!
@@charliedee9276 this is true, that being said you probably won't get the same reliability out of a 750 horse 350 that you would with a big block.
Just like a humming bird, those small hearts go hard but die fast.
I bow to that sound. My first car was a 296 Chevelle. This is GodSend sounding!!!
396 sorry
