My biggest gripe with silicon grips are the scratchy-ness or metal buckles they use for the hand strap. I had the apexnino grips and they do work, but if these don’t have the annoying buckle I might have to look at it…
This one never ended up low enough to be on my hand because the strap is high but if that usually bugs you I fear the initial scratchiness of the strap itself could be a turn off.
These look great! Glad they finally released. Personally I went with the Maeker grips, which are pretty much the Aubika grips from the Q2 for Q3 (battery+quick release), so I don't feel much need to return them atm. But I like that Aubika did something to hold the controllers in at the top. Hope it holds up with intense tracking needs!
Pro tip- if you want these to slide on and off and be incredibly comfortable, use the fabric/velcro strap wraps that come with the VRCover grips. They feel awesomely dialed in now.

Like you said, they are not super soft around the straps, which I was a little disappointed with. Plus the smell so strongly of a rubber/plastic mix which is a bit strange. The strap placement stops me resting my thumb too but I’m sure I’ll get used to them! Overall I’d say 8/10 and these will be my everyday set up 🥳👌🏻🤩

I have already preorder thus Q3 grips. The JayBratxAubika grips for Q2 were the best grips in my opinion. So the Aubika Q3 grips were a must, when they were finally created in our reality.
Those look nice. The strap around the back of your hand is a must have item. I guess the rubber around the controller prevents it from becoming dirty. I have similar ones (without recharging batteries) for my Quest2...For the moment I'm happy with the way I have it now. Just the straps...

Loved the ones on my Quest 2, and I've been meaning to pick up more charging tips/cables anyway so this is a good excuse
Still wish they would design them so the safety strap can still be used around the wrist. Cannot be that hard for any design of knuckle straps out there as well. Because IF/WHEN things goes south with straps or fitting (meaning, they break or having a bad day of mojo..) I prefer my controllers do not go flying and hit and break something expensive (like the controllers themself are expensive to replace also) or another person as well.

go aubika. I loved my quest 2 set and it wasnt till I get my touch pros that they got retired. sadly there are no decent grips for those. Love seeing them back although I loved the silicone strap it was soo comfy.

You explained already below why the bump from Monday to Tuesday, but honestly was very anxious to hear your thoughts as I preordered and they already shipped over the weekend. If the Jay Bratt edition winds up being just a change in the straps maybe see about making those available separately for the folks who already purchased. They'll be living in my Bobovr C3 with my S3 - looks like the C3's depression should fit them well. I don't do a ton of stuff with VR, but you're the one VR information channel I follow. If it's not on your channel I likely won't see it. How do these compare to the Bobovr ones apart from the flying out issue?
Yeah, they have a couple different sets and one if very similar to the kiwi ones I also like. There's a lot of choices in grips these days and many are decent... some not so much lol
Good question and NO there is no hole for them. With hand straps tightened you don't normally need safety straps but it's still a factor to consider if you have a clumsy friend :D

Would you please tell us about the fitment of these things inside the BoboVR C3 case? I don't think there are smaller rechargeable grips available, but it doesn't make sense to buy them if the controllers don't fit into the case properly anymore.

doesnt quest 3 controllers have the sensors on top of them? which the grips block? i heard that somewhere, so other sellers removed the grip around the top of the controllers so that it doesnt block those.

I prefer the Q2 Aubika version. Its longer and has nicer hand straps. Hopefully they'll do a longer version.

These ones have transparent silicone on them so the lights shine right through and track just fine.

How long to charge fully, and how long do they last?
Usually our grips take about 1 hour to fully charge and can last for 20-28 hours of continuous use.😆

That's not how infrared works. The top of the controller is already "concealing" the signal. You can't see it at all.
