I am so delighted that China Southern retired the A380 in terms of short-haul flights but I am so depressed that China Southern retired the A380 in terms of long-haul flights!
Sorry, banged out after 0:54 - Airbus is a EUROPEAN maufacturer - every wing is built in North Wales (part of the United Kingdom). Thanks for the laugh.
Are the number of aircraft still as high as earlier estimates predict? Based on current economic developments surrounding China 🇨🇳 is doubt the need for foreign made planes is still valid. Between the economic reversal in China's economy and the flight of foreign companies from China , is there still a rosy outlook? When Chinese people are struggling with high unemployment and low earnings, is air travel realistic. Why would airplanes be better than China's high-speed rail? Aren't trains more practical for short intra city trips. Now that China is building its own domestic made planes all that Boeing and Airbus talk about 9,000 planes seems overly optimistic. 😮 As long as Xi and the ccp are hostile to the west, all bets for trade and economic prosperity seem unrealistic. 😢😮
Your info ain't fully correct ...SQ has twelve still in operation even during the start of the pandemic only seven were sold off out of their total of 19...and making huge money on their a380s ...and a huge nearly one billion dollars for upgrading their fleet ... Lufthansa has also brought back their a380s and def Qantas and BA are def not letting their kings out soon...
China Southern DOES NOT have any A380 aircraft. They had 5 but have retired all of them.
China can easily replace some of the cabin crews with robots to serve meals and drinks.
The 8 was chosen because the number 8 refers to the double decker design.
Slightly biased or deceptive.
Didn’t mentioning high speed rail advancing train time matching plane time.

A380 in time to come will have only two large jet engines instead of four.
