I live within an hour of you and also bought a 1992 Z28 5.7 this year. Our Camaro's are remarkably similar with similar issues so I have been learning a lot. Thanks for posting all these Z28 videos and how-to guides.
That's awesome! I'll be posting many more! Thank you SO much for watching!
Ok. First tip. Clean the oxygen sensor in the air intake housing and that throttle body housing as it's all cared up with carbon! It will greatly improve the cars response!!:) cheers!! Also tbe distributer setting. U probably figured that out. :) always keep that throttle clean for better intake response.
You are correct. I have an EXTREMELY detailed video of me replacing the fuel pressure regulator and cleaning the throttle body, tune ports, injectors, etc.. I went above and beyond showing everything in that video. Thanks for watching.
Old rubber floor mats under the plastic ramps works great.
Looks like its running a bit cool on the guage. Check the thermostat. Also should find out why the service engine soon light is on. I would fix that stuff before I go cutting the cats.
This video was very helpful. My question is did you ever cut the cats off?
Thank you
Nope, I never removed them. Thank you.
I fine it easy to lay a towel under each ramp to avoid ramp skidding. Coolant temperature sensor doesn't help either.
TPS needs to be adjusted as well
Sticky egr valve and check the vent valve for the fuel tank it’s in the wheel well it helps the tank expand and suck in air when needed
Thanks for the info Ray. I have done those things. The videos are on my channel. Thanks for watching.
@@TerenceDIY cool! I watched all the parts same thing happened to mine it wouldn’t even idle
My Corvette has the same tpi system. Your tpi should be set for .54, plus or minus of .074. Your IAC should be set for a measurement of 1 1/8 from body of base to top of pinical. Don't forget to reset your IAC. Do this by turning the power on but not running, unplug the IAC. Turn the power off. Wait for a minute, then plug the IAC back in. Then start up the car, and see how she does. That will reset the IAC.
Thank you very much for sharing that information and watching my video.
90-92 TPI does not have an adjustable TPS sensor.
@RSAW73 hummm... they changed it in 88, I believe. Let me get some info from my Corvette club. Corvettes have the same system. I also can check with a friend who owns a corvette restoration shop. He will know for sure how to adjust your tpi system.
@gizzmo5952 No, they changed the most in 1990 when they went from a MAF to a Speed Density system.
@@RSAW73Yes it does😂
Learnin right now!
TYSM brotha
I have a thirdgen swap in a mk3 supra this was extremely helpful
@@myonesie , awesome! Thank YOU for watching!
Hey dude cool video! I got a 92 Camaro Z28 5.7 which i drive and work on . I don't know if it has anything to do with your gas problem but you might check the gas tank vent tube.
I've figured it out. Detailed videos with valuable information coming about the entire process. I just uploaded one tonight. Thank you SO much for watching!
Set those ohms to 5.4
Do you have link to tps sensor
Hi, I believe this is one that will fit yours (link below). Make sure the part looks like the one on your car. Thanks for watching!

I wonder if those sensors are my issue? I ordered them. My car will stall coming off an off ramp on the highway, and also backfire when I leave off the throttle on the highway.
Hi Michael, let me know if the sensors fix your problem. Hopefully you don't have a timing issue.
Sounds like bad injectors.
@@jonowen9545 , I changed those out as well. There's a very detailed video on my channel showing the entire process. Thanks for watching!
BRO! I AM HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM RIGHT NOW!
FUCKIN TPiS
Put some side pipes on it
I wouldnt do anything it sounds bad ass !
Thank you SO much for watching!
You can hear the restrictions.
I think I am going to cut my cats off!
Let me know how it turn out afterwards. Thanks for watching.
How did that work out for you? Is it too loud to have a conversation in the car??
What!
I would have to say your fuel pump is probably not supplying enough pressure man.
I changed it twice. I also fixed the issue. Both detailed videos are on my channel.
Why do you show all that ramp BS. Just wasting my time watching for the real info
I hate my plastic ramps as well they suck you need a friend to hold it in place
