Outstanding Mr Jones. The best qualities of Maori and Europeans combined. The future of New Zealand condensed in one speech. This ethos encourages me to even use Maori language.... Tumeke!!
Great speech, truth hurts going by the dribble in the background. Kick the rude interupting fools out of parliment if they can not shut up. We want to hear the good members speeking.
NZ cannot afford separate hospitals universities and Govt. We will go bankrupt in no time. Maori have had settlements since the 80s. It must stop and NZers must unite as one people.
Yes 👍🏻 and what happens ? Kiwis are robbed of jobs for the sake of quasi green environment policies. So kiwis go to Australia and work in the mining, mineral and aquaculture sectors.
I cannot understand why people who sit in parliament do not want to see the progress of our country nz and oppose the bill. We'll done Shane Jones we need more such bills to strengthen NZ. Keep it going.
My whole hearted support to Shane. The Fisheries regulations as they stand have gone nuts. I would suggest Shane is underestermating the benefits to all of NZ ........ Eel farming alone could be worth a quick extra $billion in Exports! If given the correct Fishing & Aquaculture regulations being put in place. I say this from commercial experience in NZ! Anyone who once worked in the industry in NZ who saw its potentual distroyed by politically motivated + lying & red tape has wept a thousand tears........! This can be turned around but not from anyone working for MPI in NZ. We need a Government willing to bring in some proven experts from Japan they are the leaders in the Tec side, NZ is a world leader in the raw resouces required!
Hey Dennis, my uncle's were commercial eel fishermen around the Waikato and would take me out with them. Great times. And a great job for a one man band if they open it back up again.
One of the major problems with globalisation is the demand for good quality food is pretty much infinite. Great for the producers - not so good for local markets who can't match the buying power of wealthier countries. Maybe the government could require that a percentage of production be made available to the domestic market as part of licensing arrangements for producers?
@Ezpize626 perhaps we should stop funding maori welfare then, is that what you want separate tax welfare systems right? So yeah then we invade new maoridom or whatever they end up calling it and you can lose everything.
My Father and His Father Were Pioneer Commercial Fishermen in The Cook Strait and Were Totally Ripped Off through the Fishing Quota System and Myself had to Go and Work for other Fishing Companies. Some Families in Island Bay Got More Quota through Under the Table Payoffs...I Wonder if that Still Happens. Some Of those Politicians look Very Well Fed...
I agree, what pss me off I can’t afford it ,that saddens me when NZs can’t eat fish from our shores, what we are now seeing is imported products, such is life.
Whats stopping you getting a rod & reel or a set net. Whole mullet ain't dear to buy & smoke & it tastes real good & better than snapper due to far higher oil content. Flounder isn't dear either & a few minutes in a microwave mmmmm
The waste from fish farms could be great for the soil and us eventually. A deep sea ancher for fish farms could be a way to prevent diseases and destrution of floor. It could grow if some intellect was showen about the math dynamics of fish. Cages instead of nets. Marine farms being moved. Some study of forghen fish farms is merited. Oz is sucking us dry because we chose that fiscally. They need to deal with the poo. They might see our products lose quality if we dont show some respect for what imparts flavour and texture. Whitbait are a big part of the green slime to protein chain.
Farmers dont forget Shane Jones laughed at you and sang a mari song at you on the steps of Parliament When you were asking for help Beware of Shane Jones
Aquaculture growyh! So why is the very large North Island Mussels Company in Tauranga closing down this year with the loss off 100 jobs and lots of exports?
Its not about using NZ resources its the fact that investors make billions from it at the cost of all NZ people. dairy farming is the perfect example NZ pay twice as much for NZ dairy products while the NZ water ways get polluted by some dairy farms. On top of this NZ gives big tax's cuts. NZ should just have their own dairy farm to provide NZ with dairy products and jobs. And lease land out to over sea investors to produce dairy products for export. Sick of seeing over sea investors making big profit of the NZ people while NZ people are doing it hard
Alt Although Shane and Winston are the Saviours of our of universe, I'd like to know where the international investment in our fish exports are coming from...I'm a believer in them...I voted as always for them. I hope they aren't having their strings pulled by bigger external pressures
From a aquaculture technician viewpoint - it sounds great. Dont mean to lack enthusiasm, but would wild catch fisheries still continue? Straight answer: yes. What would be the point of investing in innovational aquaculture if either approach only benefits the 1%. Small scale aquaculture wont have a chance in this current environment and market stability. He mentioned within thier own capacity, that in itself has many unpredictable variables which indicates beware of the terms and conditions. Veteran aquaculture specialists have seen entire seafood industries fall overnight. And have no choice but to sell up existing infrastructure below half the price you dedicated yourself to. Hence i state It sounds great.
This man is the worst criminal in our country. He is steamrolling everything that has been developed over decades to protect our environment. He will not get away with this outrage
@@schlookie I agree with you, but the poster above is incapable of comprehending our viewpoint, let alone adopting a mature stance. Leeches don't stop leeching just because you ask them to stop sucking.

Great speech, truth hurts going by the dribble in the background. Kick the rude interupting fools out of parliment if they can not shut up. We want to hear the good members speeking.
Yeah the house speaker should call for ‘quiet from the cheap seats’.
NZ cannot afford separate hospitals universities and Govt. We will go bankrupt in no time. Maori have had settlements since the 80s. It must stop and NZers must unite as one people.

Shane jones for prime minster 2028!!
Totally agree!
Yes 👍🏻 and what happens ?
Kiwis are robbed of jobs for the sake of quasi green environment policies.
So kiwis go to Australia and work in the mining, mineral and aquaculture sectors.
This Minister is working hard for decency, freedom and prosperity.
Realistic and sane.
Why would anyone oppose that?
Well thought out Shane Jones. You are brilliant 👏
Brilliant.... The more I see from NZ First the more I like them!
What are they doing too SAVE MARSDEN POINT OIL REFINERY????
I cannot understand why people who sit in parliament do not want to see the progress of our country nz and oppose the bill. We'll done Shane Jones we need more such bills to strengthen NZ. Keep it going.

Not to mention the possibility of fish produced for the local market…?

NZ provide for NZ. Its just lazy sitting on your hands getting a back door cut
Good man
Who was squeaking in the background
The Maori party I recon lol
NZ is sick of this cultural crap slowing our economy, stalling progress and sucking the valuable $$ from those who need to. Put an end to it sir.
Excellent
stop Maori getting a $ cut for all fish caught by all commercial fishermen, Maori do nothing and get paid for it, that is racism.
More of a dhimmi seeing how racenis a outdated theory.
Stop perpetual leases
Perhaps us Maori should simply stop leasing our quota then 🤷🏼♂️
How'd you like that 😉
@Ezpize626 perhaps we should stop funding maori welfare then, is that what you want separate tax welfare systems right? So yeah then we invade new maoridom or whatever they end up calling it and you can lose everything.
Maori control bulk of South Island fishing quotas & must cease.
Wow, a leader.
Well delivered Shane,,
thank you

most seafood grown on fish farms isn't fit for human consumption, eat it at your own risk
Well let be used for fertilizer and pet food,if it creates jobs and is profitable so be it.
killer jones should be tried for eco terrorism. what a terrible human being.
There is no climate emergency
Shanes in the pockets of foreign investors. Putting in place these bills of greed.
