I love listening to you guys. I usually don't comment (almost never haha) but I really wanted to tell you guys that your podcast is one of my favorite ones. The topics are so diverse and interesting. And also: I just wanted to say regarding to what you said in 49:22 that in islam al-mahdi is not seen as a new prophet, as Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa salam is the last prophet, but he will play a big part, just saying so no one watching misunderstands ^-^ Please keep going, excited for future episodes!! 😍

The way Amir described Dune, I’m immediately watching Dune 1 and 2😂. I love sci fi but haven’t had time to watch either. I’m very meh about Netflix’s ATLA I enjoyed seeing the Air Nomads but the way they did the story as whole felt rushed. The Netflix version felt like a different show altogether.
lol I refused to watch or read any of the content around it until I saw someone make an 8 min animated summary 🤣 But also I read in the comments of that animated video that Legion was a fake name for him
I low key found Dune part 1 so boring. As someone who watches everything at 2x times speed, it was a hard watch. However, the way Amir just described Dune Part 2 gave me goosebumps. I actually can't wait to go see it now. Also with ATLA, I have been religiously watching Avatar every year , It's my comfort show. This might be controversial, but I liked the live action, it surprised me. I think Zuko and Iroh were perfect, sokka took me a while to get used to. I could write a whole essay on this but my expectations were so low that it actually suprised me.
As Muslims you should look for someone who’s character and religion is pleasing. Character is number one though coz they can’t have imaan if the character is poor.
I’m actually so hesitant to watch the ATLA live-action bc my brother (another avid fan who has rewatched the anime series 15+ times Lol) has said that it’s disappointing even from episode 1, and another person also told me they made it plot-focused rather than character focused like it should be. So ive resolved to just watch it with my family so I can at least get enjoyment out of nitpicking it together. There CAN be good adaptations of books to movies, for sure (Harry Potter one of them), but I’m honestly tired of rehashing animated stories into live action when it’s done sooooo much better the first time. Why squeeze it into 8 episodes then if you’re taking out all the character development that makes the Gaang?? Just make more NEW content to entice newer/younger fans to go back to the original. Like stahp this. I expected better from the ATLA creators honestly ATLA is dear to my heart so I’m passionate about this. And i love hearing y’all talk about things you passionate about as well! And now that I’ve heard about the premise of Dune I’ve got to tackle that too lol
