Ultron Theme | Avengers: Age Of Ultron

- Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) was criticised heavily for its overuse of humour, when the trailers portrayed the film and villain as having a dark, menacing tone.
When the film was released I payed very little attention to the soundtrack, as I was disappointed by the lack of Alan Silvestri’s Avengers theme, and was not a fan of the remix by Danny Elfman. Upon re-listening though, I’ve found that the score has many recurring themes, including a menacing, creepy theme for Ultron, that I did not notice in the film.
The theme ironically uses very few synthesisers or techno samples, playing more with the philosophical aspect of Ultron, rather than the metallic shell. The theme reminds me of something from Eastern Europe.

Because of Ultron’s theme of hating strings on him , it would have been cool if his theme did not have any string section in the orchestra, and was mainly brass or something

Not brass, but maybe pull a Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal) and use synth that sounds like strings. Unless they go with Inception-like brass (which they won't given that half the score was made by Danny Elfman).
Sounds like it could be put in Star Wars and not be out of place. I like the idea of a Galactic Ultron.
Ever heard of Phalanx Ultron. Look him up. Ultron takes over the Phalanx then goes on a warpath in the galaxy. Annihilation i believe it is called.

it’s one of the best marvel stories. I wish they kept the stuff around though because i loved most of it. especially phalanx Ultron.

Ultron doesn't deserve to win but he was the only villain who had conquered the multiverse
He came so close to conquering it but watcher was 10 steps ahead of him
Had to come here after watching Episode 8 of “What If?” he actually succeeded. I hope someone can make a mix of his theme with the terminator’s.

Thank you very much my friend. I will absolutely get to that suite. There will be minimal footage to use as the film is only in theatres and I admit I haven’t actually seen it yet. I’ve heard his theme and I think it’s great.
Suite Movie Themes I haven’t seen it either but I’ve listened to the soundtrack and his theme is a sign that once again Marvel can make great music, thanks for doing it either way!

I kind of feel bad for Ultron. It examines human history (filled with tons of war and conflict) and then you tell Ultron to protect them? That's is the worst context to convince anyone to protect a species.

Okay thanks. By the way I have a bunch of themes already in progress so it might be a while before you get a lot of those.
Ultron as a concept was always great, his line delivery was great, the design was almost perfect, his monologues were great, the casting was great, his overall aesthetic, ambience and presence was great. The only problem was the stinky poopoo writing. Luckily he was fixed in What If, but his great design had to be sacrificed for it.
