I mean, I get it on line drives, but on slow grounders... one pitcher was standing in front of home plate instead of behind it on a throw on a slow grounder to third... I mean, maybe he doesn't get to perfect backup position, but maybe he's close enough to field it before the second run gets in. That would be a interesting metric... figure out where players should be for back up throws and see how close they are to those spots play after play, whether they end up being needed or not.
