If her technique was as awful as you say, she wouldn't be singing at 56. It is really surprising how after a career like hers she hasn't lost quality and beauty. She is indeed one of a kind.
It is interesting how much she intrigues people. I understand that the experience of beauty is a subjective matter. I don't like all the singers in this world either, not even all the music 🙂, but I don't comment on them either.

Lots of great singers have odd facial mannerisms. Fact is, she sings with clear tone, on pitch, without a wobble and with tremendous expression after a very long career. Her technique has to be excellent for those things to be true. She is unique and wonderful.
