      Such a cool concept knowing there’s running doing it all over the world at the same time 💛 good work!

    It was a really tough day to run. 30 deg C, had a fever and sprained ancle. Couldn't do more then 20km. Car didn't catch me, i stopped, couldn't drag my foot any longer. Still very proud.

    Oh yes, the good old stairs at the Olympiastadion - they're quite legendary. I ran the Munich Marathon last year (my first one ever) and everyone had to climb them after the race, let's just say I'll never forget them. It's a love/hate relationship...

    Greetings from Romania! Good job for your 50k mark! It would have been nice to have Alex mentioned in video description or some tag on the video, since you are teammates at Adidas Running club. :D just saying that a lil bit more sportsmanship didn't hurt nobody.

    Mate i dont want to be one of those guys on here thinking i know best because you are a way better runner than ill ever be but i think your mentality needs a big change. I have watched alot of your videos and i notice that you tend to be a bit negative and make alot of excuses for yourself at the end of alot of your races on why you didnt achieve what you wanted to. You are an insanely good runner and have all the ability in the world clearly but you need a bit more of that dog in you and you will be unstoppable!!

    Nick, thank you for helping my running! A quote from the book Duel in the Sun by John Brant: "You're playing with fire by running so many fast marathons. The body's not designed for that kind of stress. Sooner or later you're going to have to pay a price." This quote was said by elite runner Garry Bjorklund to marathoner Dick Beardsley in the early 1980s. There is wisdom here!

    • @justalilbester
      @justalilbester  3 месяца назад +1

      Wow strong quote. Probably a lot of truth in there too. But for now let’s enjoy being fit and giving marathons a full send!

      @@justalilbester I am a runner in my 50's with PBs from the 1980's. I realize that training methods, nutrition, and gear are so much better today. The conventional wisdom in the quote is from the 80's. Many athletes today are peaking in their mid 30's so you have many years left to get your sub 2:20 marathon. Best wishes for Berlin this fall!

    Hi Nick, i've been following you months now. Since you've race a lot, may I know if its normal to have side stitch if i'm new with intense training? I always experiencing side stitch every time im racing 5k and on interval training, like those intense running around z4 and z5.

    • @zjd434
      @zjd434 3 месяца назад +1

      I know im not Nick but I will say for me personally, making sure I did core workouts everyday and learning to belly breathe while running has helped to never get side stitches anymore. Another factor may be if you eat too close to working out, make sure you give yourself 1-2 hours after you eat to digest!

    • @justalilbester
      @justalilbester  3 месяца назад +1

      Try switch up your breathing pattern when that happens. It also may be a case of drinking or eating too close to your sesh.
