- Before forming A Perfect Circle, Billy Howerdel cut his teeth working as a sound engineer and guitar tech for the likes of Tool, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Fishbone, Guns N’ Roses and more acts. Among his many interesting experiences was introducing Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan to NIN mastermind Trent Reznor.

FYI, there's no mention of Maynard and Trent's interaction together. I have heard from interviews with Maynard that they have no contact and barely know each other
Hate when people blatantly lie in their video titles. Isn't it enough that you're speaking to Billy? We hear how he gained respect for Trent because he recognised his work ethic but that's it.
Thank you for saving me half the video of time
Billy is a vampire so he doesn't age. He seems like a cool guy too.
How the hell did you land an interview with Billy haha that’s awesome!! APC was my first concert..it’s led to a lifelong obsession with live shows. That’s still in my top 5 shows of all time!! His most recent solo album was really good. I hope we get at least one more APC record though. Would be cool if we got a lot of longer songs like the package.
Tool and APC are 2 of my favorite bands. But Thirteenth Step and 10,000 Days were their 2 last great albums. Imo. I did not care for Eat the Elephant or Fear Inoculum. So basically what I'm trying to say is.. Enjoy their older masterpieces. Because stuff nowadays is just not the same.
A Perfect Circle is Billy's brainchild, NOT Maynard's ❤.
Is this from the 2000s? Why does Billy look EXACTLY like he did 20 years ago? That's crazy.
Cocaine
damn bro, all that equipment and sound treatment on your studio walls and your audio sux this bad? what did you record yourself with?
I was thinking the exact same thing 😅
It’s a filter background lol. He’s not even in a studio
Try more egg cartons...😆
Interesting. I was just reading a bit of Trent and Charlie Clouser's take on Tapeworm and how that all went. We all know now that Weak+Powerless is the only track to sort of see the light of day. Apparently a lot of the music was Danny Lohner and Clouser.. Trent was trying to get his head straight and do the Fragile and didn't find it inspiring. The project was to keep his guys busy and originally probably an excuse not to do what he had to do.
About the musical results, apparently Clouser concurs and says he has it on his hard drives today and when he hears it wonders what they were thinking. Too bad great minds didn't come togethor quite right, but it was a weird time.
Incorrect. It was Passive. Additionally Potions from Puscifer was also a reworked Tapeworm songs. Sad we’ll never get to hear any of the demos. But I guarantee they’re sick of the questions about it. Shame it didn’t work out
Tapeworm was after The Fragile.
Who punched you in the eye Billy? I got your back bro just point me in their direction.
I did not know Billy worked for FISHBONE. I USED TO BE THE LD AT THE BOATHOUSE IN NORFOLK VA IN THE LATE 80'S LATE 90'S
Love some FISHBONES
This audio is hard to listen to. Its like listening to a CB radio...
why does he look like bald cilian murphy?
I thought they were the same person wtf
Fake Title Smh
I don’t understand how people producing podcasts from within a recording studio can have such bad sound. Weak, dull sound, Syllables drowning, like compressor set up incorrectly ?
