Dang that thing looks massive. That's crazy it sat for so long not in use. Bet that was some extensive renovation. I LOVE that mosaic bench thing. That is so pretty. Cool exploring.
Thanks for always watching, it's much appreciated. It was a shame it was closed, we were hoping to have a trip through it and vlog it, but that's our luck lol. Keep safe 👍
First time commenting, very pretty spot for that bit of engineering. If I understand correctly, it functions like a locke bringing together two bodies of water with different heights? Thanks for sharing!
What a shame it was closed, do you know why it’s closed on a Thursday ?, I went there many years ago and managed to tryout the boat lift, and if I can remember we walk through the museum bit ended up at the bottom then boarded a barge and went up in the lift, so that must have been 1980/ 1982 ish, and before you say it, no not 1880 ish, thanks for sharing, 👍👍.
We were hoping to do the some and maybe tea and cake at the cafe aswell, but that’s our luck. No idea why it closes on a Thursday, but did hear, it might be closed at the moment, because of fault. Thanks for watching 👍
Lovely looking area shame the boat lift was shut 😕 but good excuse to go back again and have a ride 😃
Stay Safe 😜👍
@TheMotorhomeMiles definitely something we want to do. Thanks for watching 👍

@@HitchUpAndTow Kind of sounds like our luck. It would have been very cool if you could have vlogged it. But what we did get to see was awesome.
@@HappyPlaceCamping thanks
I worked on the renovation, blast cleaning the caissons and spraying them. I loved it.
We need to go back when its open to see it properly. Must have been a great time working on it. Thanks for helping to bring it back to life.@jamsams

You got it right, it's an elevator for boats. It was just a shame we didn't get to see it in use. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
