  • Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for stopping back by to see what I'm up to today. :) In today's video, I give a shout out and much appreciation to the crew members who made the biggest impression on me during our 19 days aboard the Grand Princess. Then I tell you about a lovely excursion that we took while visiting the port of Sitka. I end the video by sharing our day in sailing in Endicott Arm which culminated with the viewing of the gorgeous Dawe's Glacier. I hope you enjoy this one y'all. Much love and hugs all around! 💗

We went on our first Alaskan cruise (12 day Voyage of the Glaciers Northbound/Land Tour) ever this past May/June on the Grand. I absolutely loved it and am hoping to go again in a couple of years. Alaska just captured my heart and soul (I’m Native American). I also want to be on the same cruise that you are on; I just love your enthusiasm and spirit! Thank you for sharing! Made me homesick for the Grand 💙🌊🚢

Thanks for the video. Our 1st cruise to Alaska was on the Grand and we loved it, back in 2019

Hi Arlynn, when we went on our two cruises, I had asked for seating at a table by a window, but our travel agent, stated that we had to sit with others we didn't know. But that was ok, because after meeting these people for 10 nights for dinner, we were glad to have been placed with them. I was just wondering how that window seating was obtained. Thanks for clarifying this. When and if I ever get another chance to sail again, I will definitely ask for a table by a window. Was not aware, that we didn't have to have assigned seating.

I am watching all of your Alaska videos. Writing down a lot of the places you went. We are going to try and go in August or September of next year. Our first cruise. I have to use either a scooter or a walker. I will be asking a lot of questions. I know you are busy so I will try and not be to annoying. (ha) Wondering on the vessel you went on where you saw the brown bears (Sea Otters and wildlife quest) was it easy to get on and off the vessel? Also was there any trouble walking around on it? Was it easy walking around Sitka? Did you use a walker or a scooter to walk around Sitka? I am so excited about going just kind of worried about getting around. Thank you so very much and I appreciate anything you can help me with.

Hi Sandra, thank you for taking the time out to watch all of my videos in this series! 💗
I will try to answer your questions:
~Wondering on the vessel you went on where you saw the brown bears (Sea Otters and wildlife quest) was it easy to get on and off the vessel? Also was there any trouble walking around on it?
Yes, it was very easy to walk around on that catamaran, it was smooth sailing and there was plenty of room in the aisles and such. It was quite comfortable. I didn't go upstairs because, well, steps are not my friend.
~Was it easy walking around Sitka? Did you use a walker or a scooter to walk around Sitka?
It be honest with you, we didn't walk around Sitka, so I can't answer that one. :/ I'm terribly sorry. IF we had walked around Sitka I would have taken my Scooter, as you heard in the video they allowed us to park the scooters at dock, so we had them with us.

How in the world were you able to get a table by a window! On both of our cruises, I asked to be seated near a window! But……we weren’t that lucky!

We have been lucky to sit by window on all of our cruises so far.

Hi Lorna, well on our cruise on the Grand in January when we went to Hawaii. On our first dinner, we went right when the dining room opened and asked for a table for 4 by a window. They had no problem at all seating us at a window, we asked if we could have the same waitstaff and table for the entire cruise...they again complied. :) Then when we got back on the Grand this September, we again scheduled our dinnertime to be the earliest that it could be and we were literally the first ones into the dining room on night one. On that night we asked if we could have a 6 top (there were 6 of us who wanted to eat together every night), but, we said we'd like it beside the 4-top table that we had on our previous cruise which was also by a window; they again were happy to comply. Then for the last cruise (we stayed on after our Alaska cruise), we asked to be moved back over to the 4-top that we had had in Hawaii, again, they complied. :) Of course when we asked we were very kind and cordial and then after we were seated night after night, we were very grateful and told all of the waitstaff, the dining room managers, and anyone else that we saw in the dining room the every helped us out.
