- Hi Everyone! Thank you all so much for stopping back by to see what I'm up to today. As promised I have gone ahead and recorded a video to tell you how I pretty much maintained my weight while on this last b2b cruise. As most of you know by now, I have been on a weight loss journey for the last year and it is hard to cruise while trying to maintain a certain eating regimen. Arlynn, hats off to you, you have done & are doing fantastic. I think as we age, particularly women, we have to adapt or change or eating habits but you deserve tk be proud of yourself. You are an inspiration. ❤❤

I've been working on losing weight too. I started last year in March to help with bad knees and getting ready for knee surgery. Total loss of 45 pounds so far -it has been a struggle, so I know where you are coming from. It is a never-ending process. I lost 70 pounds in the 80's but as time went on and the knee issues got worse, I slowly gained the weight again. Now I can walk farther and do some exercises that were impossible to do these last few years. I still have more to lose just like you. Good luck in your journey.
I always gain some weight on a cruise. But I lose the exact amount as soon as I get home during the first week back. I also never take elevator while on cruise and do the stairs to help me not gain too much.
I wish I could do the stairs, my knee isn't that strong yet...maybe one day. :) Sounds like you do really well, kudos to you girl! ♥
Well done, Arlynn! I love how you emphasized "I chose" because that's what it's all about for those of us on the journey. Your achievement on this back-to-back is even more remarkable and praiseworthy because you're not yet able to use activity as a means of off-setting the calorie increase that comes when in vacation mode.
I've always said, as you pointed out, it's not so much what happens on vacation - it's what you do the day you get home, and the day after that, and the day after that. Keep up the good work and all the good habits! And thank you for your generosity and your kindness to so many.❤
