It was a goldfish and Madotsuki from Yuma Nikki, Madotsuki was in a happy relationship with Villager from Animal Crossing, and said she didn’t want to talk with Goldfish. She was his first ex, he had two others, but he wanted to get back with her.

I had wondered about this too. In my experience, Miis ALWAYS rejected someone if they were already in a relationship. But I have been told by friends who played the game that it can happen. Though as TheMimik said, it's probably only if the current relationship is going sour.
Yeah. Mad got rejected because Morgan was married, had “soulmate” as her relation status with her current husband, and she also had the lowest relationship status with Mad
