I’m trading floors and big offices whether it be e-commerce businesses, FX stock dcm brokerages, or agencies what computers are used and what operating systems ?
OS: Windows, some use mac but windows .exe files are much more diverse when it comes to custom programs. Computer: very stong pc with 1TB SSD, 8-16GB of ram, and strong gfx card to run 4-6 monitors. Phone: Cisco VOIP with multiple expansion modules for speed dial. The module she's typing on is not only a keyboard but some act as a routing tool which is tied to the companies (PB) prime brokers on the exchange trading floor. Her top 2 screens are Bloomberg terminal, this subscription-based software is $25,000 annually.
thrillamoe50 would Mac have any limitations over windows ? Or would it also be good ? I guess ima asking if ones by far better or w must have than the other
@@damob9138Hey, unless you're using some type of custom indicators that require a certain trading platform you should have no problems, example if you're trading futures via FXpro which uses meta trader, that software can only run .EXE (Windows) and not .DMG (Mac). One is not better than the other, you would have no problems using mac or windows to trade, Hope this helps.
