Awesome! I like doing mine on low heat with oil, salt, pepper, and I flip it after the clear becomes mostly white! Highly recommend the flip because it creates a little pocket for the yolk I tried high heat in the beginning and it kept burning, but I might try it with your method!
Pro tip: If your eggs are big, fold it once one side is mostly cooked. That way the egg yolk to safe within the egg and won't break, plus when you eat you get nice crispy ish texture all around, rather than one bland and smooth side and one good side
@@aryaroy476 sorry I might have been unclear. When I say fold it I mean fold it in half, so the fried side is in the outside and the soft side is on the inside. Not "flipped"
When I go to my grandparents house, my grandma always fry her eggs in a Wok to get that delicious crispy edges and I completely LOVE that method and somehow the taste just hits different. I'm always obsessed with the crispy exterior. it's bomb af, I absolutely love it. 🔥💖
Start in a cold pan with some olive oil, turning the heat on after putting the egg in the pan. Once the whites are about halfway cooked I take my spatula and spread the bottom apart just a little bit near the yolk, causing the concentrated whites to break and pour down, cooking the thickest part more easily. Once the whites are mostly cooked I flip for like 10 seconds to finish cooking the whites then I plate. My goal is to leave as much runny yolk as possible with fully cooked whites.
I've never cared for a runny yolk myself. I like it kind of in-between. Not sure what you'd call that 😅 it's not runny but firm and half cooked. It tastes great that way with quesadillas.
How I do it is I put the egg in the water a little before the noodles are cooked so that way the yolk stays runny but the white cooks ❤ I love the fried eggs tho appreciate the extra step I bet it’s delicious
My Italian Mamma has always cooked her eggs the same way except she uses butter instead of oil. They turn out great & look do much nicer than easy over. Keep on cookin'.
I fry my egg the same way as well; unless I want the white part soft, I turn my stove on low towards medium heat (3-4), and it takes the pan longer to heat, but once it does, I add some butter or oil and plop that egg and of course, cover the egg until cooked.
Lisa have you ever been to the Asian Grocery store in Shawnee Mission Kansas? Depending on where you are in KC its not that far of a drive and there is a Korean restaurant about 10 minutes away from there that is 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Typically when I’m frying an egg I use a neutral oil just like you did except once the bottom is fried I use a spoon to splash a bit of hot oil on the top of the egg instead of covering for a minute. That’s how I ensure I get that perfectly fried egg the whole way round and avoid any uncooked egg on the top while keeping that gooey yolk. Hope this helps!
I do over medium, once cooked on one side I flip it and 5 to 10 seconds I plate it. The yoke is still gooey and all my egg whites are cooked. I don't like uncooked egg whites. It looks like snot. So a quick flip and plate 🍽 takes care of that.
What's the secret to not busting the yolk when you flip it? I've never been able to not break it and I've been cooking for 50 yrs! That's a lot of eggs given to the dog 🐕 😳
I feel like everyone has their own fried egg preferences😆 I use mostly butter, with a dash of oil. I like my yolk broken and smeared over the whites. I fry on both sides, until it’s brown & crispy on the edges. I add salt before flipping. I serve with salsa (green or red, depending on my mood)
@@larissa-je8dci mean, people also do that.. So it's not wrong, my dad cooks it that way, i don't really like it because most of the time the yolk is just pure solid, and have this texture like rubber... I want my eggs runny lol..
