Dude, anybody that is NOT in favor, go and ride through properties that dont collect trash. FFS the property manager could never get rid of all the bugs
Yeah in a perfect world, I get what you mean. But unfortunately all humans are not created equal in a area where it counts regarding this valet service, and that's cleanliness. We have this service where I live in a fancy overpriced apartment community in Silicon Valley CA and people are pigs. We are all given the same tall kitchen garbage can upon move-in to use for this valet service, and we're to leave outside our door...about 50% don't use the cans and just leave stinky garbage filled bags outside their door along with large boxes and extra small bags flanking the larger bag...you get the picture. It looks like crap lining the hallways and the smell and ant infestation is not worth it. And trust me, the building tries in vain to let tenants know this in not OK, but no one listens
I think it's a great ideal especially for the elderly and handicapped, or single moms with children, it's never safe to leave them unattended while you take the trash down a few floors etc...or those living on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th floors. It really just ma makes sense and can be very convenient.
I just happened upon your RUclips videos. I watched your Vlog of Woodlands apartments. I live in The Woodlands so it was interesting to see your tour. I finished listening to your answer about Valet trash. Some apartments include it under amenity when if we pay for it, it's really not an amenity. Also, where I life, management doesn't really enforce the Valet Trash guidelines. But your answer was interesting.
I own a valet trash company in Houston and can't land a contract. I've been in business for a year now without business lol. Being active in different organizations hasn't helped much so I'll try youtube. Who needs service? No kickbacks, false impressions and fake smiles, just good service?
Dude Dude me and a few friends are currently researching the market in NW and SW Houston to try and jump in the valet trash business. What are some of the pushbacks you are getting from property managers?
MrBOASTMAN32 MrBOASTMAN32 sorry about the late response, I didn't recieve a notification for your comment for some reason...? The main pushback is speaking with the right person. If you call the manager is ALWAYS busy. I visited a few properties in person and they lied to my face saying that the manager wasn't there when she was sitting at her desk with her name plate. The assistants are the main pushback for the most part. Secondly, a lack of references for a new business can be a problem. Most managers want to know that your company has a history of getting the job done. It helps to have a few "refrences with your proposal" but unfortunately I'm not a liar. Thirdly, negotaions can be a issue as well. Some managers like to lowball and kill any chance of a profit, that kind of defeats the purpose lol. Those are the main issues that I've faced with trying to get established. If you'd like to know anything else please feel free to ask, I wish you and your buddies much success!
@@liveextreme6752 one should never boast...you should encourage another & give advice about the business as I highly doubt there is an abundance of people doing this type of service. We need more services like this yet I think that it should be included in the high rent. We shouldn't have v to double pay that fee.
The Valet Waste question is what got me triggered. It's a new slippery way for deep pocket apartment communities to pass off another cost to the tenant. This way they don't have to factor in space on property to process community waste. They actually hire an outside company to process the waste for city garbage pickup (which is their responsibility to do) and send us the bill and call it a "valet service". So now we're charged twice for garbage - once with the 'water AND GARBAGE bill' and now the additional "valet waste" because the apartment communities saw it fit to pass this cost on to the tenants.
We want people who pick up the trash, looking after the property? Who is looking after them? The real reason for the trash "service" is that part of your monthly fee goes to the property owners. Pure profit for them.
Yet - they leave garbage behind while still making money. In hot areas, garbage fills hallways with the stink of rotting food. Can't wait for the coyotes to show up once the large bins are gone. I want to empty my own f garbage. And it's a revenue stream for huge PM companies and owners like Greystar (🤮). So the customer is left holding the bag(s).
I was always wondering why I can't option out, but then again it is really convenient to have a trash pick up in front of your door.
Nicole abroad in USA is a love/hate relationship with the trash fees but we appreciate the convenience when really needed 🙂 thanks for watching!

We totally agree, it’s the little things that make the difference on your day to day living experience
Not if it's a forced fee

You are my BACKYARD thats why. I own FRANCHISE rights in Houston for Valet Waste Living. My team is bigger than yours
Are you still in the business? Are you still doing valet trash?

Question so, do you provide the trash cans? How do you know what to charge? Is it a flat rate?
They provide them and yes it's a flat rate :) just depends on the community
