    Hi! Good to see this video. Some time ago I watched a chinese serie where says 8 is a lucky number meaning wealth and the Google Translator doesn't explain why. I finally understand it. And there is a chinese pop song entitled 9277. One CC version explane 9277 (九二七七) sounds similar to 就爱亲亲 (jiu ai qin qin), what means Just love and kisses. I hope learn more in next chinese numbers lessons

    Telling Time: is it required when telling for example it is one o'clock to add 钟 (zhōng) at the end of 一点 (Yīdiǎn) to make it 一点钟 (Yīdiǎn zhōng) so that it would not be confused or may mean 一点 (Yīdiǎn) meaning just a little. Thank you

    It is really interesting in their cultures why most Chinese people hate number four(4)!!! In Ethiopia this years Calder is 2014. Due to the evil politics of the civil war among its people many many productive youths were dead. so, is that coincidence or sin or do we should hate like Chinese people number four(4)? Because the war is not yet ending.

      And technically speaking, we do omit the Y and W when it is by itself.

    • @AskAndy
      @AskAndy  4 года назад

      However we would read the Y and W when it comes to the combinations with N and NG, like Yin, Ying or Wen, Weng.
