Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a beginner with no prior experience and I jumped on the Trampa Spur Gear for my first board. Your tips have drastically sped up my learning curve. Especially the tips about turning & weight distribution. Thanks again.
Nice to see you on the board and nice style for a educational tool I was planning on doing this for dancing keep getting asked but Kassie To make it I need to get on jt
@@LeeWright I'm sure I'm going to love it. It's a 40km skate to work along the coast here in Australia. Making the trip with 2x GTR batteries wasn't much fun.
This is so on point for me, finding the transition from a standard esk8 pretty difficult but its all down to having confidence and understanding the capabilities of the board, I'm going to fit the heel straps and get some practice in and hopefully be able to keep up with everyone this season! Great video as always Lee 👍
Thanks Mark. We have all been there dude and I'm no expert by any stretch. If you are fitting heel straps (which I think is a great idea) then please consider also switching the remote to "current" mode for bi directional throttle. Not only is this wise from a safety point of view but having the option to reverse with some torque is always very handy. Just make sure you have Al the gear on and you can push yourself a little. Once you go heels you never go back
Been waiting for this video. Finally :D this is a good video, very informative im a heavy believer of safety and never understand those who don't like it. Dont you want to be able to ride youre entire life? Not for two years crash so bad you can't do it anymore ? My opinion tho. The stay low when falling comment isn't said often but I appreciate it. Its a good one.
wery bud man wery good video becours i ride 2yers and befor hawe i nothing bud nothing from scating. this videos wod be for me like oxigen ... love you bro.
Hi Lee great channel. I live in Northern California recently got a board from China. I'm 5 months into riding around the mountain I live on as well as the Redwoods & the beach at low tide. So far the deck is holding up to my abusive riding yet there's always room for improvement. The biggest problem I have is no protection for the belts. Sticks get caught up in the belt /pulley causing damage and or a crash. There's also a clearance issue at times with the battery box underneath. I haven't been able to find any aftermarket covers that fit the motor covers I got worked ok but needed modifications. If I could change a few things like the clearance and the lack of protection for the belts as well as a remote that is more smooth than the one that came with it is where I am at now. Any advice or knowledge about where I can find aftermarket parts would be great. Also a video on trouble shooting common problems & fixes would benefit a lot of people. Your videos have been an inspiration for me to say Damm my disability I'm riding. And after 13 years with no board strapped under my feet I am grateful to be carving down the mountain side. If your ever in the states look me up for a ride in the Redwoods. So I thank you again Lee!
Hi Lee, great video! Great editing and production. Not sure if you've more videos planned for us beginners but perhaps a good one would be basic maintenance i.e once you get back from a ride like that how do you clean everything on the board and do you re-grease or tighten bits and bobs before the next ride?
Great video very informative. I started out a couple of months ago on the cheap $900 all-terrain belt-driven board and now I'm about to drop some real money on one. Ecomobl Ripper is at the top of the list. Next is a DIY. Budget is $1800. Would you buy a Ripper or would you build a Ripper?
Gday Lee happy new year mate, I couldn't recommend more to get the safety gear also, I have broken ribs twice, wrist once and a couple of fingers here and there, my Bell super 3r full face cracked through the shell and hard foam liner. PS isn't nature a beautiful thing?

keep thinking about getting one of these but then come across videos/comments that make me think im just buying a problem or something thats going to burst into flames!
I wish I could afford the stuff to add motors to my mountainboard. I bought a (vintage?) MBS Grom.6 off the internet like ten years ago for eighty bucks, and had to replace the deck and wheels multiple times since then. A few days ago I traded for an MBS Core 95 since my other board needs a new deck again. I've got a wishlist on Amazon with everything I'd need to electrify one of them, including knockoff 18v Milwaukee power tool batteries, but I just can't justify spending the $500 on it. PS I've gone much faster than I was comfortable with downhill a few times on my board (got major speed wobbles) and never fell off, the one time I was injured was once when I was turning at very low speed and fell off and I'm pretty sure I broke my wrist. Didn't go to a doctor (I'm American, no health insurance) but I bought a wrist brace for a few bucks at a thrift store and wore it for a couple months. I haven't learned basic techniques like speed scrubbing because I'm terrified of the damn thing, but I absolutely love it.
Hi! Awesome video. :) Which trucks are those? Something custom CNCed? They look dope. How well do they ride? I might be able to save up enough in the summer to start off an eMTB build if I get lucky. And are the motors in the intro Turnigy SK3 6374s? If so, how do you like them? I am considering them right now for a drivetrain upgrade (gonna be a single drive belt driven street board, so I need a reliable and powerful motor). So far they seem to be the best value motor for me, and the price point is also very appealing.
hey bro, more info about the trucks soon. They are indeed SK8, to be honest, I liked them at first but I destroyed them in 3 months. Something to be aware of
