- Some Christian teachers have interpreted Yeshua's Sabbath healings as evidence that He came to do away with the Sabbath. In reality, Yeshua's Sabbath healings demonstrate the proper way to keep the Sabbath.

It is amazing like pastor John MacArthur can be a highly respected intellectual and teacher of the WORD, then on an issue like the Sabbath he gets corrupted and gets away from what God has established.
So what are we supposed to do, take the tables of stone that we're written by the finger of God, block out the fourth commandment and rewrite a new day because Christians believe that we honor now the Sunday instead of Saturday because Jesus rose from the dead? Then they claim that it's in the book of Acts and Colossians and a few other scriptures (in other words they take very soft scriptures and and try to justify Sunday as a new HOLY DAY.
In fact I heard him preaching about what the Bible teaches about Sabbath keeping, and that only a small group does it--the Seventh-day Adventists and a smaller group--the Seventh-day Baptists, and MacArthur said if you wanted to keep the Sabbath you would join one of those 2 groups. (I wondered why I didn't hear him mention the Seventh-day Church of God etc.)
It's simple, if Yeshua removed the Sabbath then He would have added or taken away from the law...therefore that would have made Him a breaker of the law (sin) and could not be the Messiah.
Word!
Shalom and blessings David. Thank you brother, excellent teaching. Once again we have Yeshua, Lord of the Sabbath versus The religiosity of the pharisees and man's traditions. Only one winner when it comes to freedom and rejoicing!!!
Question for you David. As we are at the beginning of the fall feasts, what is your Biblical take on 'Rosh Hashanah' in the seventh month of YHWH? Thank you. Every blessing brother. David (UK)
There is evidence in Scripture of multiple "new years." For instance, Exodus 23:16 indicates that Sukkot is "at the end of the year." This indicates that there is a shift in the year in the fall, and not just in the spring. So, the Jewish tradition does not come out of nowhere. In any case, I do not think it is wrong to observe the tradition of treating Yom Teruah as Rosh Hashanah, as long as one does not allow tradition to overrule the biblical commands associated with the day.
@@DavidWilberBlog Shalom and blessings David. Thank you for your answer. I believe it is a heart matter but also a Biblical one too. Seems like you are on the same page as JK and I understand your point of view. I do however believe YHWH gave the first month when He did as a REMINDER to His people of when He brought them out of slavery. I see the 'Jewish civil new year's' in Scripture but I believe those days revolve around the agricultural year. I don't know if you know Kevin Geoffrey, a Messianic Jew across the pond. He has done a very good RUclips video on the subject. Once again thank you for your time David, I know you're a busy man. Every blessing for the fall feasts. David (UK)
Great message! Do you have any videos/ articles on people saying Jesus is our Sabbath rest, therefore there's no need to observe a Sabbath day because now we have Jesus?
I address that in my book, but not sure if I’ve covered that in a video somewhere.
Great message David
Very well said brother!
Great teaching! 👏 gonna take this one to heart🧡
Love you bro!
Heres the thing I just cant quite get over about the Sabbath. Why is it that no christian for 1750 years ever had an issue with Sunday worship? The Holy Spirit endwells us and we see not one person is convicted about the Sabbath in the entire world for almost 2 millenia? I simply don't understand how this could be.
There’s nothing wrong with going to church on Sunday. And plenty of Christians continued to keep the Sabbath since the apostles. Historical sources indicate that almost the entire Christian world outside of Alexandria and Rome kept Sabbath as late as the 5th century AD. My book goes into detail on this topic.
With the difficulty of personally reading the scriptures prior to the printing press , it is not hard to see the false teachers influence regarding sabbath.
Secondly Saturday rest both spiritual and physically ends up happening even if we don't know it,so obedience unknowingly is not a reason for conviction by the Holy Ghost
Finally none of the commandments are hard ,yet everyone acts like sabbath is impossible to keep
Because God is mercifull and freed Israel from Egypt, so Israel should keep sabath and let the slave or servents rest, it is to show mercy, and love, and become like God ( personality)
What would be a modern example of a sabbath keeper oppressing someone else about the sabbath?
That would be a case where one brings man-made traditions/rules to impose on a person without recognizing the relationship with the Creator/what are the reasons he made the Sabbath for man. Like nowdays a parent tells a family member to take the container of food waste/garbage outside after Sabbath lunch, but pastor told not to do that on sabbath, yet he himself goes to restaurant on Sabbath paying others to work for him. Just inconsistencies that cause people to feel confused/oppressed, all because they forget one cannot keep the Sabbath without connection with the Vine (John chap. 15)(the Creator of us AND Sabbath rest).
Romans 14:
5. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ
Keep the sabbath or don't keep the sabbath whatever you do do it in regard to the Lord.
Also: Galatians 3:3
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
The sabbath being a aspect of the shadow of the things to come. Christ has completed this. Worship in spirit and truth. Be careful of the chains of the law.
Great passage, thanks for sharing! If you're interested in a detailed study of Romans 14, here is one I did: ruclips.net/video/xwxgQ4FZPIQ/видео.html
